Flying out of Anchorage to Las Vegas, 2 nights of Outlaw racing, Might as well do Nascar while I am there. Then up to my Moms in Chico for a visit then drive down to Hanford and Tulare. Wow 5 nights of Outlaws. Then fly out of Fresno back to Anchorage, Would like to stay for Merced and Calistoga, but would be looking for a new job. Hey I was looking for a job when I found this on right. LOL.

My old boss (a real dick) wouldnt give me time off work so I could go watch the Arnie Knepper Memorial race at Belle-Clair Speedway in Belleville Illinois. I had plenty of vacation time, but he denied the request, and said something like "you will be here catching up on your PM's" I said under my breath "Wanna make a bet?"

I just went in on the Saturday before, got the rest of my tools, handed the pager and phone and keys in,and left!

Yea it was cold as hell in Vegas last year for wingless and outlaw shows. I also agree that the 1/4 mile bullrings beat the 1/2 mile tracks all to hell.

Tulare THUNDERBOWL will be the highlight of the trip. That track is fantastic for sprint car racing. They have a great camping area and there is not a bad seat in the house in the huge grandstand.

Been to Tulare lots of times always stay at the Best Western, Never been to Hanford though looking forward to that, But growing up in Chico I am partial to Silver Dollar Speedway.

Hopefully the Las Vegas track will be better this time , even though they had a good race there last year .Usually it dry and slick , it needs to be re-surfaced , but I understand they may have done some work on the track , according to a WoO official , let's hope so for the FANS WHO ARE GOING . Allot of NASCAR fans come both night as they want to see racing , not concerts , not apparel trailers, not other displays , but then NASCAR REALLY DOESN'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT FANS , DO THEY ?

Chances are the NASCAR race will draw at least 10 times the crowd that the outlaw race will. That includes the NASCAR fans you say will be there watching the outlaw race. Without them you could count out a lot of the fans in the outlaw stands.

So since the NASCAR races and the concerts and the apparel trailers will all be crowded, i guess NASCAR knows a little about fans.

Too bad Vegas puts on such crap racing at the dirt track.
