CAMARGO, IL (5-7-07) – The O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions are gearing up to take on some of the toughest local competition they will face all season as they head to Central PA for the 5th Annual Bob Weikert Memorial at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, PA.Lance Dewease took home the top honors in 2006 to bring his career All Star win total to 24.Other drivers such as Fred Rahmer, Mark Smith, Jeff Shepard, Keith Kauffman, and Lucas Wolfe – along with a full field of tough weekly Port Royal regulars – will try to make things tough for the traveling All Stars.

All Star point leader and defending champion Greg Wilson will lead the charge into hostile territory with his own traveling posse to take on the Central PA competition.Brock Mayes, Danny Smith, Shane Stewart, Kenny Jacobs, Brian Paulus, Paul May, Bill Rose, Craig Mintz, Brandon Martin, and Brian Ellenberger will be gunning for the Bob Weikert trophy and bragging rights for another year.

From there the series heads back West on Sunday to Bedford Speedway in Bedford, PA. The All Stars have not visited Bedford since 2001 when Lance Dewease picked up the win.The two day event has been dubbed the “Battle of the Fairgrounds - The Way Racing Was” referring to how the sprint car circuit traveled from fairgrounds to fairgrounds all across the nation back in the thirties, forties, and fifties. There will be a $1,000 bonus if one driver can win at Port Royal on Saturday, and then at Bedford on Sunday.

Ticket prices for each night are $18.00 general admission and $25.00 for a pit pass. There is free camping available at both tracks, but please call ahead for hook-ups.For those not planning to camp for the night, please visit the Official Hotel of the All Star Circuit of Champions - The Best Western Bedford Inn, located at 4517 Business 220 (exit 146) in Bedford, has an All Star rate of 64.00 for 1 person or 73.00 for 2 people. Their website is www.bestwesternbedfordinn.com or call 1(800)752-8592.

Oh Lord, "they" do try!  You get my money on Saturday night and maybe Sunday night!  If you want more of my dough,  run "snappy" shows (especially Sunday night).  I don't want to be driving home and see the sun rising over the PA Turnpike on a Monday morning!  E-Mods.

There is no chance of Rahmer skipping double features at Lincoln to run Port on Saturday.

I think you're right, but he is supposed to be at Bedford.

Yea, a snappy show sounds good to me too firstturn....I have a farther drive than you I'm betting and work at 6am Monday morning. Hopefully the drivers and track co-operate, I can assure you that the officials will keep it moving.

Ahhh, the fun starts the minute I take the pepsi shirt off and put a racing tee on!

I am getting a bit old for the all nighters, but if it's what it takes to see the world then so be it. Like my buddy George says....or to paraphrase a little..." Life's short...Play Hard"
