I was wondering the same thing. Only 20 cars. I think they lost four or five drivers to the Cival War 360 race at Placerville.

I don't know why more of the Ocean regulars didn't show up. Isn't a GSC show $300 to start. The track was terrible dry slick, might have been better to have a 360. In the early 90s Watsonville was a great track and after this many sprint races I was hoping the track prep would be dialed in, guess not.

You don't think the high winds had anything to do with the track condition?

Know when to hold em... know when to fold em! taking a 360 to a 410 race is a bad bet. Besides, the "field filler" B-mains with 2 410's and a bunch of 360's ALWAYS suck!

The high winds didn't help and the track prep was fine....In my eyes there are 2

reasons for the follow the leader on the bottom racing we saw on Sat nite.

The 1st is they have the push trucks pack down the cushin between races which

takes away the top groove.

The 2nd reason is they cut the berm down which allows them the practilly go threw the infield during the race.

They can fix this buy leaving the cushin alone if one develops and either building the berm back up or putting big tractor tires in the infield to prevent them from cutting he corner..

It will make for better racing even if the track goes dryslick..JMO
