So WoO regs take 3 of top 5 (if you don't count Swindell... even though over half his participation will be with the WoO) on night one and sweep top five on night two.
Pretty impressive start for the "overrated" WoO.

I wouldn't bother with facts on this board msu, cherrypicking stats from the one track the WoO has trouble with gets you far more attention.

ditto
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Dude, after 3 Outlaw races look at the points and where the cars are based. I don't get into the whole Posse vs Outlaw discussion as I'm over 40 but Rahmer is 11th after 3 races and is the top PA car.

And other than Tim Shaffer, the top 10 are all Outlaws...nice topic. It looks like they are overrated?

My bad, Lasoski is not running WoO this year, I forgot and Sweet does not count as a WoO either. But still...

I don't think it is over rated. Go to USUC show. That is over rated.

Well crap. 5 races in and we already know who the top teams are in 2011. Using that logic, Steve Kinser is about to win 40 races and Sammy the other 40. Calm down, it's early, and hardly shocking that the WoO has the best teams and drivers on the whole. As for the "overrated" comments, I think your taking a night or two of reality out of context.
I mean, it's possible that a PA fan or two went to a WoO race for the first time, paid $22 extra to watch the greatest show on dirt, and ended up watching the same drivers they see every night take 9 of the top 10? Ok, off night, but then they go the next night, and it's 8 of the top 10? Drunk after watching $70 worth of single class local sprint cars, someone may have shouted, "F this noise, I paid $14 last weekend and those drivers held Greg Hodnett off, this is overrated" . Or, "Damnit, it's bad enough I've had to watch Rahmer from 12th every week, but these guys can't hold him off from 24th, this sh*** overrated". I mean, yea, they may have said it drunk in the moment, but I don't think anyone truly believes they're overrated......

It is my opinion that the WoO is far from overrated, but they are not the end all, be all of racing. We as fans must come to grips with the shrinking weekly fields in our areas and make sure we support our own shows so we can be blessed with having the traveling WoO come to town. Without our weekly programs to keep racetracks alive, there will be No Place for anyone to race sprint cars.
I also believe that if you are a true fan of racing, you want to see that, RACING. Some of the best races I have seen over the past 50 years have been local races, because competition was fast and furious. Let's all try to do our part to keep the sport alive and well. Enjoy it all!

Everybody has got a mouthfull about wing cars and the outlaws. Why do they get as much as 40000 people on the granstands and USAC if lucky 1500. Johnny Gibson was wright. They got the greatest show on dirt. WINGS ARE FOR AIRCRAFT AND "FAST" CARS.

Local races have often been better, especially in PA. There is a distinction to be made though with my Posse friends, lol. You don't, generally can't beat these boys anywhere but America's Slowest Half Mile or the Grove as it's more often called. Florida was another neutral ground lesson, some things never change. Lincoln will be open soon, go have some fun at one of America's best kept secrets. Take It Easy....
