That's the NCRA at SFS, July 16th, 1972. 60 super modifieds & 67 modifieds timed the day before with Hahn setting fast time, followed by McWhorter, Harkness, Fowler and Roger Thompson. 6,642 fans watched Evard Humphrey, D.E.Suggs & Ronnie Brotherton win the heat races. Brotherton won the trophy dash with Bob Bible taking the C and Max Albright the B. 31 cars started the A with Hahn taking home the win and $1662.50 for his third win. Leep, Harkness, Holman,Humphrey,Wade, Thompson, Suggs, Reed & Copeland rounded out the top 10.
Ken Hailey set fast time. The modified heat winners were, Jerry Schwartz, Don Engel and Terry Doss. Troy Matchen won the Tropy dash. A feature winner was Hailey followed by Larry Wilson, Dutch ter Steege. Engel, Darrel Jennings and Danny Daniels.
