Something new I am doing on tidbits to get ready for the upcoming 2011 race season is focusing on track schedules for all the tracks that have ads here on tidbits. Right now Oklahoma Sports Park (Ada), Mid-America Speedway (South Coffeyville) and Lawton Speedway (Lawton) are all eligible and have their track schedules completed and are featured on the news page located here http://www.oklahomatidbits.com/News.cfm.

I just got confirmation that 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas will be renewing their track ad and I will feature their 2011 schedule sometime this Thursday evening or definately Friday.

I have the schedule for Caney Valley Speedway (Caney) but I am awaiting them to email me their track ad so I can have you the complete information by just clicking on the track ad to take you to the website. Caney Valley is new here on tidbits and I recommend you making a trip or more to this fine quarter mile facility.

I am awaiting on Creek County Speedway (Kellyville) and Lake Country Speedway (Ardmore) schedules and as soon as they are released then I will focus on them as well.

The following tracks that have track ads now but are due up to renew include Outlaw Motor Speedway (Wainwright), Tri-State Speedway (Fort Smith), Thunderbird Speedway (Muskogee), Hutch's Speedway (Elk City) and Wild West Speedway (Clinton).

I am awaiting to hear about Route 66 Motor Speedways (Amarillo) schedule as they are also eligible to be focused for 2011.

Tracks that I would like see climb aboard include Enid Speedway, Siloam Springs Speedway, Crawford County Speedway, Beaver Raceway and I-44 Speedway. Would also welcome any other track in not only Oklahoma but surrounding states to climb aboard as well as this site gets traffic from more states that just Oklahoma, trust me. If you are affiliated with a track, dont matter size or the type of track, please email me for details at [email protected].

Whether your a racer or a fan, ALL of these tracks need your support for 2011 as times are tough enough. Doesn't matter if your racing for weekly points or just traveling to different tracks, try to make at least one track that is featured here on tidbits and please tell them you are there because of tidbits.

Any other suggestions you would like to see please email them too me.

Thank you.

I'm new to the Lawton area and will be running a Mod there this year. Just have a couple of questions. How many mods do they get on a weekly show? Does the track get slick? What gear? Who is fast in a mod at Lawton?

I read the rules on their page and it appears you have to run a stock configuration head (1) degree from stock does that mean no 18 degree heads?

I sent a email to the email address listed on their website about a month ago and haven't heard back and a friend told me about this website.

Thanks

I am noone to answer tech questions but there are quite a few drivers who race at Lawton so hopefully they will answer your question.

Welcome by the way...

Gear at Lawton you hear from 583 to 688. I think it depends on 9inch or Quick Change. Around 620 is a good starting place.
