I enjoy the nationals more than any event. We have been coming for many years. The wednesday and thursday shows are great racing and I think a lot of it has to do with the inverts. Now with the woo sanctioning it will it be run by the outlaw rules. If it is I think it will take away from the racing. I was just wondering if any of you knew what will happen here?

dollansky_7_fan is correct. The WoO sanctioned the Knoxville Nationals for many, many years up until the WoO/NST split when Knoxville decided to go independent. The sanction is basically in name only. This is Knoxville Raceway's event, and I believe it will still be run under the same format as always. Knoxville still had their own format during the previous sanctioned years, so I don't see why this would be any different.
Besides, as you are suggesting stana, the fans might revolt if Knoxville let the Nationals be run under the WoO format. That wouldn't be good for anyone.
Signature here.

Did I miss something? Was this a recent annoucement? I can't understand what is it in for Knoxville. Maybe someone can help me understand why they want the WoO to sanction the event.

It's more aboput the WoO wanting to sanction Knoxville than it is about Knoxville wanting or needing the WoO. But this was announced a few months back.....

There is an article about Knoxville in the next FlatOut Magazine that will explain all of this (and other topics) in detail.

I still find it very interesting that KnoxvilleRaceway.com still only shows a one day show for the Outlaws in June, and no mention of the Press Release that the WoO put out a couple weeks ago....
My guess is that the contract is not signed, sealed and delivered as of yet....
