I am thinking he knows and is taking a jab and USAC for moving the event from Arizona to Florida and breaking tradition.

Sean knows that the Copper on dirt was all three USAC divisions, and that it was a great show last year.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

One of you guys would know, was it USAC's decision to move, the track or politics? I feel for you guys out there. Had Copper World at PIR and Manzy at night to Copper World on dirt and no Manzy to now no triple divisions of USAC.

I thought last years Copper at USA was so so as far as the fan turn out is concerned the first night, and good for the finals. The racing was excellent, and most of us were a little surprised at how well the big cars got around the 3/8 mile track. I thought it was a success with the potential to be better fan wise this year because of the great racing, and with the fact that any doubts about USA being able to support it were no longer a question. That said, all I know is that when we asked Kevin at the Western if they were going to run the Copper again this year he said yes, "with or without USAC!"
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

I would have to say USAC is probably listening to their car owners as to go to Florida and then out to the west coast a couple of weeks later is a tough deal. Plus USAC is promoting the shows in Florida so I am sure they want to put their focus on putting on a great show. Can't wait, I will be heading down to Ocala for some nonwinged action.
I think ASCS show be a great show out at the Copper also. Give it a try.

You are right, USAC definitely has their "agenda", and I hardly feel sorry for car owners (who are in a national series) having to travel back and forth across the country. The Copper on Dirt was a USAC sanctioned event, so they could have continued their focus on putting on a great show in Tucson.
We know the ASCS will be good, as we saw them here a few months ago, at a little show called The Western World. I guess I'll have to try very hard to get to The Oval Nats. this year if I wanna see 410 sprintcars. Who knows when I'll get to see the Champ cars again. I will still support our track and attend this years Copper. Heres to a SAFE and exciting 2011 racing season! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!
