somebody just starting trash. good way to promote your new website...im not even a saldana fan really, but these 2 clips r poor versions of slander. both were just racing deals. btw, i wouldnt slam an american favorite when trying to promote a new sprint racing website. dummy

C'mon... "trash", "slander", "slam"... is that really what it sounded like I was doing? Up until last year, I found Joey to be a very patient racer and almost courteous to a fault on the track. Now there seems to be a new sense of urgency behind the wheel. To me, he seems more aggressive. I never said he was a dirty driver! This may be a good thing for him! As madsen pointed out, maybe he's just fed up with earning so many victories but still missing the points championship that he has a new game plan?
If you had read all the posts before commenting, you would have seen that I am not in any way "slandering" Joey. I am asking a question as to whether or not anyone else has noticed what I have about the shift in his driving style. And I even stated that I could be wrong. So before you call people names, try not to live up to yours (huh?) by acting clueless. And thank you for your input.
Sincerely,
Joe McConnell

I was at both races and would definitely call both of them 'racing deals'. Eddie is a rather average racer and definitely checked up and you can see Joey is hard on the brakes as soon as he sees it. As for the Meyers wreck, Jason has a lot to answer for there. The previous lap to this Jason had the bottom and moved up to block Joey (with them running 2nd and 3rd respectivly) who had to check up to avoid contact, then off of 2 Joey had the run under Meyers and was RR to LF past him off the turn. Anyone who has ever run a Hans in a full containment seat knows that visibility over your right shoulder is absolutely 0, despite if you can hear the other car or not. Sure Joey would of had an idea Jason was still close if not still just there, but the contact is just before the entry to 3. IT IS JASON'S JOB TO ROLL OUT TO AVOID THE CONTACT as he was no where near being along side Joey. There is other footage which shows just how far back Jason was off 2 and when the contact is made and I'm sure that Jason would be quite embarrassed to actually see it. I'm not a huge Saldana fan (especially after how he behaved after he last won the classic) but that incident and ridiculous decision to send him to the rear probably cost him the race

That was fantastic StiX! Thank you so much for your objective insight. Definitely sheds new light on the subject! With your knowledge of the sport and recall like that, we need to get you in a studio to do play by play and voice over commentary for us. Seriously, that is a genuine offer. Contact me if you are interested.
Joe

I was watching the Meyers deal on PPV and couldn't believe they penalized Saldana for that ... did not appear to be anything intentional AT ALL and probably cost him the race as he was coming up thru the field fast. Is that a normal deal downunder to penalize a driver like that???

i was at both races and could see nothin wrong with either of them. i'm not s saldana fan by any means and still couldnt see why he got put rear at the classic. Meyers has a left foot, and when he uses that left foot of his the brakes work, everyone is in the same boat, he got squeezed for racing room, and he didnt back out. pretty simple deal if you ask me

I'd say someone who's won more races than anyone in the last two years is doing exactly what he get's paid to do and that's win. It's not like he's out there ripping up equipment like Haud, Walker or TK. As for Meyers and Saldana not likng each other... Good! Ask Lucas Wolf how he felt when Meyers turned right!

That was a chump move on Myers. A cheap shot slide job in which he didn't have the other guy cleared. So the guy holding his line is supposed to back off for the guy moving up the track now? Bullshit, maybe it wsa payback for something that happened earlier I dunno. If not then Myers should have clocked him. I'm not a fan of either driver, just my unbiased opinion.

If your a fan, it's aggressive, if your not, it's dirty. At some point, anybody that was ever any damn good at driving one of the has been called dirty, everybody's got their haters.

Not even close to the same thing, in that video Stewart goes in above the cushion and expects to be able to turn back down the track, maybe he should have defended his line a lil better. Then goes into the next corner and flat punts Saldana. Maybe that right there is the difference between WoO and ASCS drivers . In my opinion both of the videos posted by the original poster were racing deals, in the first one the car obviously got out of shape directly infront of Saldana and in the second I think it was in Myers hands to make a decision on how that was going to turn out as Saldana looked to have the advantage off the corner.

that's what I was thinking. too damn funny!!!!! I do agree that a guy shouldn't have to put on the binders just because someone else wants their line. Let the guy pass him clean or follow until he can make a clean pass. This isn't stock cars
just my $.02
