I've noticed on their 2011 schedule July 23rd has NO RACE. Wasn't the Golden State KWS scheduled to run at Placerville that day? They have no 410 races at Placerville. KWS schedule doesnt show Placerville now? What is going on?

August 20 was supposed to be the KWS race, but the promoter has decided to run a regular point show that night.

Why did the promoter cancel the KWS race and schedule a point race? I cant believe no 410 races at Placerville. What is happening with Handy Dandy?

Does the "promoter" not like overflow crowds that show up at Placerville nearly every time GSC (now KWS) races there? Is the "promoter" jealous or petty that new owners have taken over the series and increased the purse, point fund, added tow money, etc? Does the "promoter" not like the fact that KWS is on Goodyears because he has a Hoosier deal? Whatever the reasons, it seems like the people getting the short end of the stick are the fans. I love Placerville because it's a racey track that is rarely boring (and it's 20 minutes from my house) but if the "promoter" can't schedule the only winged 410 series on West Coast to run at his track (after having 2-3 races there for many years) I may just need to take my money elsewhere. Politics SUCK!

I believe the KWS series has a Goodyear tire deal, while the Civil War series and Placerville have a Hoosier tire deal...that could be the reason.
The older I get, the faster I used to be.

'everyone wants to see the circus and see something other than just a regular sat night 360 race' handy gives up his track to them for a nite then reads this in the examiner article posted somewhere else on here. im convinced this is the reason. i may be out of my mind but when a new group comes in and starts calling the weekly program crap it might piss off hrp. more KWS at chico though. ill be there.

Please don't take that comment about regular Saturday night 360's as a negative statement towards 360's. It wasn't a slight.
What he meant by it was that we have to look different than a typical Saturday night local show. Be it a weekly 360 or 410 show, when a traveling series comes to town there just has to be a different feel.
Imo it's no different than saying the World of Outlaws have to have a different feel and look than a regional series when they come into town.

GT, i think most people understood what george meant. hell i am about as dense as it gets and I got it! if some people don't understand that in order to try to attract or entice people into coming out and seeing a "special event", you have to do your best to give them something "special" then that is their fault. they can just sit around and come up with reasons why something won't or didn't work. you see TONS of comments on this board and others from people saying it is not worth it to them to go see the woo or some other traveling 410 series because they can see the same thing or better at their weekly show for less money. then when someone says they are going to offer something other than what you get at a weekly show, some people take that as an insult. well if you are that dense, you need to be insulted. lol. you know me, i have my opinions and i say wtf i want and i really don't give a crap what anyone thinks, so i understand people giving their opinion. still at some point one would think you still have to get the point of george's comment.
you can't give people too much of what they want. so find out what they want and just give it to them a little at a time. that will keep them coming back for sure! sounds like you guys are at least trying to give people what they think they might want. only a little time and trial and error will refine that.
if someone really isn't on board with you and interested in helping you promote the series, except for possible existing contract reasons, then you don't need them. you need the interest of people who are willing to help you. then when you are successful and the others come wandering back, charge them twice as much! lol.
to indy and beyond!!

YO GT - On a lighter note: Your mom hinted at a Hoserville outing to the Red Bluff Outlaw Go-Kart races might be in the works. Their season is winding down - any news on that? Maybe we can even get Rich Wiseman to make an appearance this year :-).

Its obvious everyone is trying to lure people with big bucks for either start money, winning a race or championship....Do you really think is it coincidental that king of the west starts up and now HRP offers 10,000 to win Civil War???? Why hasnt he offer this before (or anything close to it)? The facts are Chico and Placerville have always paid junk money to the drivers and teams that support them WEEKLY! Now that someone has stepped up and is paying more money he is trying to do the same with HIS traveling series. Sad part is this is going to split the 410 and 360 cars. I predict you will see 25 at KWS shows...25 at Civil war...6 at MRP...10 at Chico and 12 at Pville on a weekly basis. I remember a few years ago Chico paid $1800 total to the 410 champion and car owner & a whole $100 to 10th place....that is a disgrace.
