Last sunday we were driving to church, We always pass by the fairgrounds. Well here is a conversation me and my daughter had last week.

Daughter: Hey Dad you remember when we went to the races all the time.

ME: Yeah honey i do remember that.

Daughter: Well why did they want to go and tear down the race track.

ME: Well honey its just something they wanted to do.

Daughter: Well you know what i think.

Me: Sure tell me what you think,'

Daughter: I just think that they liked those dumb horses more than they like all the race cars. So they took away the track so the horses wouldnt be bothered. I sure do miss the races there.

Thought it was kinda funny how my daughter came up with that all by herself.

Wow! Six years old and already knows that Horses are dumb! In reality that is what happened to the Tulsa Speedway, they liked the horses better than the races. The noise issue was supported by and driven by the horse people and politicians that wanted para-mutual gaming in Oklahoma. The hell with the 10,000 usual fans and over a hundred race cars every week. Just think of the economy that was created by those numbers. Well, they got their horses and horses asses to go with them, have never made any money except keeping a former football player employed and if not for the local Tribes contribution would have no choice but to fold up. And just recently demolished about 1/3rd of the grandstand. I've come to conclude that Politicians, former football players and horses make for "strange bedfellows"

Thats the exact same thing that went on here. Money talks and Mick Cornett still sucks.
