Any guesses as to the car count that will attend the High Banks show? I would hate to make the 4 1/2 hour drive to see 12 to 15 cars. Have heard grumbling about dwindling numbers, but I would like to bring some buddies to see them race. Any word about support classes? Not much info on their website.

24-30 would be my guess.
Support classes will be announced here pretty soon.

The new owner had a vendor space at the Chilibowl and stated that there would only be one support class, a full fender class as I recal. Also said he has seating for about 5,000 and if need be could squeze in another 2,000. Because it's earlly in the season, I expect there should be close to 30 sprinters total. I applaud the Promoter for only having one support class, knowing that he could receive more back gate revenue if he ran more. Hopefully this is a sign that he is more interested in presenting a first class show, showcasing the sprints for future attendance gains. Now is the chance for all of Oklahoma and surrounding states that have been forced to drive a long way for a 410 show, to support this gutsy move by this new promoter and support this event. Bring a car/truck/bus/motorhome etc full of fans and fill the place up and let them know you want them back!!!!

I think you guys are right with about 30 cars. This is a can't miss race for me. I've been waiting a long time to see the Outlaws come to Salina. They'll be flat footing it all the way around. It truly is a highbank track.

Best thing is Knoxvilles regualr weekly racing season doesn't start until one week later so that could be a possible five extra cars gained right there. Although they are 360's, the ASCS sooner region is in Springfield, Missouri which could have cost a couple of cars. Like ya'll, either way I will be there.

Support class is going to be Factory Stock only. They must be counting on a ton of Sprinters showing up.

How sad is it that we have a WoO race in Oklahoma and it's like Christmas? Remember when that sort of thing happened all of the time? I can't wait. I may buy 10 tickets and also enter the family truckster in the support class just to ensure the event's success.

Anybody got a van or anything that can haul at least six people? If we all give $5-$10 in gas to the people who are driving that would save everybody some money.
Anybody interested in doing this? I will try to get things going and get a post anchored at the top of the message board just for that.
Let me know...

I-44 all the way to hwy 20 (claremore) east on hwy 20 through pryor about 7-8 miles past Pryor on the south side of the road.. It's before you actually enter salina.... Can't miss it, there is a Sinclair gas station right before it they are making some real improvements on this place I've never actually raced there but grew up watching races there and Thunderbird and can't wait to race on it..

Looks like the conflicting ASCS Sooner race @ Springfield has been removed from the schedule

A buddy contacted the person listed on the website and was told in the next couple weeks tickets should go on sale. No word on cost, reserved or general admission, etc.

I will say the cost will be beween $30 and $35 and that would be general admission, not sure if they would have reserved seats or not. I expect pit passes to be $40. Remember all of this is a guess, just from experiences I have seen.
