Wondering if anyone remembers all the good pro stock drivers from the late 80's and early 90's at SFS? I can remember a few names- and was wondering if any of them are racing anymore. That was some good racing back then. I will name a few I can remember, but if there is others- please list them. Alan Marker, Steve Smith, Harold Hawkins, Monkey William, Brian Cranford, Charlie Sewell, Sammy Potter, Morris Woodall, Donnie Wilson, Perry Robb. That is about all I can remember right now. It would be interesting to see if any them are racing now and what they might be doing now.

Steve Smith spent this past year at Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada and in Altus driving on ashpalt. Last I knew he frequents here.
Morris Woodall retired after Fairgrounds Speedway and I believe sold his stuff to Brian Wolfe.
One you didn't mention was Bill South. He retired.
Not totally sure on the others but hopefully people can fill in the blanks on them.
Pro stock class was awesome to watch until bickering and rules caused its demise.

Charlie Sewell used to sit with us at all the old Blazer games. He used to work for Loves but last I heard he had gotten divorced and is now a professional poker player.
Steve Smith is really gettin good at driving the truck on asphalt. I think next year they are gonna try to pursue that a little more. I know he did well in Memphis or Nashville this year and also ran the milwaukee mile.
Martin Marlow was one that wasn't mentioned. I agree the pro stocks on the big 1/2 mile were pretty cool to watch.

Donnie Wilson is driving in a southeastern late model series, racing against Bill Elliot's kid and a lot of pros, including "drop ins" like Kyle Busch. He got second in the Snowball Derby at Pensacola this December, and yes, he's still driving a Ford. I'm sure someone can come up with the name of the series.

I think I thought of some other drivers:
Jeff Jackson, Donnie Dukes, Terry Holland, Chris Hurley, Terry Cathy, and Wood Hudson-
I know it was not unusal for a B feature to be ran.

Very good times! 91 - 92 on the 1/2 mile testing stock rods, cranks and heads to the max. David Dollar the Dollar Machine. (Driver Alan Marker) 6.00 gear turning 7200 - 7400 rpm.
Mid 90's Brice Olson owner driver flying in every weekend from Yuma Arizona. In 96 was a three time Champion winning pro stock in OKC & Enid as well as Imca in Enid. ½ mile with aftermarket rods 6.20 gear turning 7500 - 7600 RPM
Late 90's owner Matt Davis (driver Bobby Smith) 99 Champion 6.50 gear turning 7800 - ?
Early 90's was a time blocks, cranks rods and heads had hours of late night work going into them to get the extra power. Now it has turned into guys pulling engine parts out of a box that will win races even if bolted together wrong....
Its sad the killing of the OKC race track making the city dead to me.
I do wish everyone a great 2011 racing year!

#27 Brent Burns, quit after the '99 season and sold his car to Mark Brill. It's the same Pro stock he has now. #30 Joel Hill, races a Modified. #51 Lester Davis,is building cars under the Racecraft banner, and helping his son Chad Davis. I'm pretty sure Jeff Jackson is building cars. Jay Sale,is racing Mods and building cars.
