The motor in Kevin Swindell's car was one of the Esslinger EST's with the EFI ! ! Congrat's to the Whole Esslinger crew for the huge win with the sealed lower cost engine

One could stir the pot a bit by pointing out that it would be legal at this event to run an Esslinger open (non sealed) motor with the EFI on it.

One can also stir up some stink by saying that Kevin Swindell did not have half the goodies on his motor as say Cory Kruseman did.

Dunno what Swindell had on his. It's been awful quiet on this page and I thought I'd poke the beast and see what happens. I do know that all the goodies on Cory's came off on Tuesday and stayed off when it wouldn't run right. At that point he had a regular old Esslinger. We fought ignition problems on the trick Toyotas too so having the trick stuff isn't always the way to go.
Personally I think Kevin is a punk but he drove a magnificent race to earn and deserved the win.

Cory's was working just fine when the new stuff was removed...it didn't actually have ignition or fuel problems. Sometimes, you just need to go with what you feel works for you. Kevin's was "open", but it was exactly the same stuff that they're going to sell. Heck...lol...the display motor had better parts on it.
That guy can drive.
