Pretty soon only the wealthiest will be able to run 305s. We desparately need to mandate stock parts from the mid fifties before everything started to get completley unreasonable. The sport we love so much will soon be gone if we don't get everything down around 200 horsepower. I wish all the smart hard working guys that toiled to make their race cars go so fast all those years would have stayed away. I hear at one point before we had so many rules that guys named Karl Kinser and Casey Luna had cars a lot faster than everyone else's. They ran parts that everyone else didn't have! Their cars were a little different than thier competitors. It must have been just awful. I pray that such evil will never show its ugly head again. Its time we start restricting all 305s even further so our once dangerous intense sport will continue to improve.
