Thanks for sharing the clip Sir Danger. Unfortunately some people will never see past the name to see what a career he had.

I saw him once at LaCrosse, WI. He started 14th and took the lead on the third lap.
He looked like a man playing with children.

He is after all the winningest driver in all of racing history, and his win totals are undisputable.

I believe there was a time when the best stock car racing in the country wasn't necessarily NASCAR. In the 70's and 80's in the Midwest there was some really good stock car short track racing with amazing drivers. Trickle, Reffner, Detjens, Marzofka, Back, Sauter, Shear, Watson, Eddy, Senneker, Martin, Wallace, Kulwicki, Hanley, Sweet, Bickle, and others. Very competitive. Very quality racing. It was awesome.

Saw Trickle at the old Mt Clemens Speedway years ago, he won the race & came to the pits. When he got out he had a cigarette in his mouth already & sure enough. A reporter came up started firing off questions. Trickle told him, "Whooo whooo whooo just a miniute ok" walked to his open trailer flipped the lid off the cooler grabbed a beer took a big swig then a drag on thre cigarette & said, "Ok now what did you want?"
