Not sure if it's a true story or not, but I once heard this humorous story told about Ralph Senior. Later in his racing career Ralph Senior developed a bit of a belly. Story goes that he got pushed off and drove straight into the turn 1 fence. When asked what happened, he said when he strapped in, his belly was so close to the steering wheel, that he threaded the seatbelt through the steering wheel by mistake and couldn't turn.

R.I.P. Ralph Parkinson, Sr. One of my childhood heros.
