Texas World Dirt Track Championship Registration Now Open!

Ft. Worth TX (12/15/10) by DarinShort.com. The Texas World Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway’s Dirt Track will take place on March 4-5, 2011, and online registration is now available.

By clicking
http://www.darinshort.com/world10.html all competing race teams can take advantage of this convenience. At this special registration page, there is a link for each race division to preregister their team, purchase advance 2-day pit passes (saves $10), reserve a paved pit space (while supplies last) and sign up for practice night.

Teams can pay using any major credit or debit card and all transactions are secured through PayPal, an eBay company that has over 78 million active accounts. You can make multiple purchases on the registration section within the same transaction, which will save you time and typing. When you are on the registration page, continue to select ‘add to cart’ items until you are finished and a separate window will contain the items you have selected. You can also edit the invoice before you make your final purchase. You do not have to be a PayPal member to use this service.

Printable event schedules, rules and more can also be found at the link listed above. If you would prefer to enter by mail, there is an event flyer at the above link that you can print, fill out and mail in your payment.

Modified and Limited Modified drivers will have two provisional’s added to their championship features – but will be drawn from pre-entered drivers, so don't miss out on this second chance! Early registration ends on February 18th, 2011.

And remember that if you need racing parts, fuel or Hoosier tires for this event, you should contact
http://www.SmileysRacing.com as they will be on hand to keep racers on track at this event. If your choice of racing tires is American Racer, http://www.DayMotorsports.com will have them at the track to meet your needs. If you place your order ahead of time, these vendors will deliver it to the track, thus saving shipping expense.

Race fans can take advantage of incredibly affordable grandstand tickets with the return of ‘car load’ night pricing. Each car load of fans will be charged just $10 on Friday and $15 on Saturday for grandstand admittance. There is no charge for grandstand parking and outside food/drinks are not allowed through the ticket gates. Hot laps are 5pm on Friday (races at 6pm) and races are at 6pm on Saturday. There is also a practice night scheduled in Thursday March 3rd at 6pm, however the main grandstand is closed.

Join us as the 2011 racing season kicks off at the Texas World Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway’s Dirt Track, and you’ll enjoy a weekend of great racing action at family-affordable prices!

The first online entry for the Texas World Dirt Track Championship was received by 18-year old Tyler Townsend of Longview, TX driving the Big Texas Auto Parts sponsored Hughes Racing Chassis #12T.

Tyler is fresh off winning the 2010 Ark-La-Tex Winged Modified Series points championship as well as the Louisiana State Modified Championships at Boothill Speedway and Rosebowl Turkey Nationals modified feature winner. Tyler also finished in 11th place at the U.S. Dirt Track Championship at Texas Motor Speedway in September.

For more information on Tyler Townsend, visit
http://www.tyler12.com and click http://www.darinshort.com/world10.html to get your team registered for the Texas World Dirt Track Championship - this would also make for a great stocking stuffer for the 'racer' in your life!

2/11/11 UPDATE:

ONE WEEK REMAINING FOR EARLY ENTRY BONUS REGISTRATION!

Modified and Limited Modified drivers will have two provisional’s added to their championship features – but will be drawn from drivers entered by February 18th.

The Modified feature pays $750 to start and the Limited Modified feature pays $400 to start, so don't miss out on this second chance! Early registration ends on February 18th, 2011.

After that date the early registration discount also ends.

Currently, there are still paved, reserved parking spaces available - but they are going fast, so if your rig needs to be parked on the pavement, you'll want to get entered as soon as possible.

2/24 WORLD DIRT TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP UPDATE:

One week from today the Texas Motor Speedway World Dirt Track Championship will kick off with open practice night, follwed by racing on Friday and Saturday.

Another great field of teams is being assembled; and if your team has yet to register, although the 'early entry bonus' date has passed, you can still register your team online through this Sunday night.

Preregistering online also allows you to purchase advance pit passes, which will save you $10 off of race week pricing.

A few reserved paved pit spaces also remain at the time of writing. That option will be removed from the registration page when reserved spaces are sold out.

And for those that are waiting to see what the weather forecast is before entering, the 10-day forecast now includes race weekend. Not that you can take a 10-day forecast to the bank, it does show the general weather trend expected - and that forecast is looking perfect at the moment:

Wed Mar 2, Sunny
68°High, 45°Low
0% Precip

Thu Mar 3, Mostly Sunny (PRACTICE NIGHT)
69°High, 44° Low
0% Precip

Fri Mar 4, Mostly Sunny (OPENING NIGHT of RACING, $10 CARLOAD NIGHT FOR FANS!)
69° High, 49° Low
10% Precip

Sat Mar 5, Partly Cloudy (CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT & SUPR LATE MODELS, $15 CARLOAD NIGHT FOR FANS!)
71° High, 43° Low

**NEWS FLASH: There is going to be a live web pay-per-view of the event for those fans that cannot make it in person. Details will be announced very soon!**
