Ok, I'll ask it even though I know the schedule says it's tentative and all...keeping in mind my definition of tentative means races could drop off the schedule as easily as additional races can get added...

With only 68 dates on the schedule "thus far", this has got to be very disappointing for the teams that travel on the tour. This is what these guys do for a living and I guess I've just come to expect these guys to race 80+ nights a year. Tack on the WoO rule that doesn't allow them to race other races with certain radius, etc, etc, this could be an interesting year for the WoO teams.

Yes , it is disappointing to the teams I'm sure , but then the sanction fee that must be paid by tracks or promoters is OUT OF SIGHT OR HIGH . There will be more dates added I'm sure , but some tracks are concerned by lack of car counts that happened at some races last year . Car counts in 410 racing is a major problem these days , so they need to find a way to cut costs to run the Outlaw schedule and local area tracks as well .

just looking at this - it looks as though Kville doesn't count "championship cup series" points on the WoO night - June 11...has this always been their policy?

According to my stats, the WoO ran 69 races in 2010 so.....it isn't that far off now is it?

I would never question your stats IB, you keep some of the best on the web (your site is a favorite of mine by the way). However, I do remember reading in another thread that the 2010 preliminary schedule had 82 races on it. That number could be wrong, I have no way of verifying it.

You're right. Usually they number is around 80 something and then will rainouts with no rescheduled dates it dips into the high 60s or low 70s (shows actually completed). I would bet there will be an additional five dates added. Knoxville I believe hasn't determined how many WoO dates they will actually have. If SLS lets Schatz promote in Fargo, they will have a date too. IF SLS lets him...

You had 82 dates, but 13 of them were TBA of which only about 5 or 6 ever came through for actual events being scheduled. I don't think there are any TBAs this year if I am not mistaken. I think the schedule is pretty good, a nice Cali spring tour, expanded Canada tour. No other national tour, sprint or late model even comes remotely close in terms of dates, geographic coverage, or money than the WoO Sprint tour. The only thing that is kind of a letdown is 1 event at the premier dirt facility in the country, they definitely have some work to do there.

If you're in the Northeastern part of the Oklahoma area for that Salina Highbanks Speedway show, you need to make plans on attending. Big ole highbanked, I think bigger than I-30 Speedway.

There aren't many open weekends left on the schedule... I don't forsee them scheduling many more events. The only weekend show I'm surprised they didn't add was the Bulls Gap weekend they had last year.. seems that weekend was a success for them due largely to Kasey being there and helping promote it.

The events that usually are doing the weekdays that aren't on the schedule kind of surprise me, and maybe they will be adding these... Sedalia, Brainerd (would be easy to do between Grand Forks and Princeton event), Grays Harbor (usually around the Cottage Grove event)

Also no Lonestar Speedway... not sure if that track is done with there remodeling but it seemed like the Hafertepe's were going to make that an annual WoO event. They did go there in 2009 before the World Finals so that may be an option yet.. possibly the week before the Short Track Nationals at I-30.

Looks like we lost the Lone Star Speedway race. Hopefully it will be added.

Sure was hoping the folks at TMS would find their way back on the schedule.

Anyone know what caused the fall out with TMS? Obviously something happened.

They also had a show at Lasallee speedway that was sponsered by Kasey Kane that had a big crowd. It was scheduled the same weekend as the Nascar race in nearby Joliet. That race was moved to another weekend and I was hoping they would have another Outlaw race then. I am very disappointed that I have to drive 300 miles to even go watch these guys. I live 50 miles from Chicago and they don't come anywhere near here. I'm thinking my money is going to the IRA this year in Wisconson and I hope they return to Lasalle as well.

Bring back Santa Fe, and LaSalle .

I hear you. I live 30 miles from Chicago and it really sucks that the Outlaws are always so far away. Lasalle has had some great shows over the past 15 to 20 years, but not consistantly year after year. It would be nice if Illinois could find it's way to supporting more Sprint Car shows PERIOD!

Grays Harbor Raceway will NOT be hosting a WoO event in 2011 or 2012 for that matter. Was announced at the GHR banquet that they will not be returning, at least in the forseeable future.
