2011 KISS Schedule -- Kokomo Speedway Date Change
January 29, 2011 – As racing tracks continue to build their racing schedules, it isn't unusual for important dates to be juggled in order to maximize their programs for the upcoming season. With this in mind, Kokomo Speedway has moved their King of Indiana Sprint Series date to Sunday, June 26, creating a thrilling, back-to-back, Paragon Speedway - Kokomo Speedway finale to settle the upcoming KISS championship. Additional information regarding this year's KISS program will be promulgated at a later date.

2011 WESTERN SPRINT SLATE FORMING
Forty dates have been released for AMSOIL USAC Sprint Car racing on the West Coast, in addition to the already-announced Westen Classic Sprint Series and 17 Sprint dates for the West Coast 360 Sprint Car Series. Twenty-three dates have been assigned for the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprints, while 15 races are on the calendar for the AMSOIL Western Sprint Cars.
The USAC/CRA slate opens March 12 at Perris Auto Speedway, one of 11 races scheduled at the half-mile dirt oval. Other tracks on the 2011 USAC/CRA schedule are Giant Speedway in Hanford (two dates including the series finale), Santa Maria Speedway (two dates), Calistoga Speedway (two dates), Ocean Speedway In Watsonville, Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico and Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s Dirt Track. Two events are also planned at Victorville Auto Raceway.
The Western Sprint Cars open April 2 at Madera Speedway (one of three Madera dates) and compete three time at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, twice at All American Speedway in Roseville, twice at Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, twice at Shasta Raceway Park in Anderson and once at Stockton 99 Speedway.
Additional dates are pending and will be announced when firm.

2011 USAC WESTERN SPRINT CAR SERIES SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 19, 2011) - The Amsoil USAC Western Sprint Car Series has announced its 2011 slate of races. Included in the series are eight Northern California pavement races that are part of the new USAC Western Classic Racing Series.
In addition to those eight races, the series will make two trips to Rocky Mountain Raceways in Salt Lake City, a two-day event at Meridian Speedway in Boise, ID, and two races at TOYOTA Speedway at Irwindale.
Tony Hunt of Lincoln, Calif. won the 2010 series championship driving for Metal Works and car owner Mike Phulps. He defeated rookie challenger Luis Ramos III of Clovis in an unpredictable championship battle.
Hunt is preparing to defend his crown and will likely face a growing field of pavement competition with several drivers planning to campaign both the entire USAC Western Sprint Car Series and the USAC Western Classic Racing Series which includes eight dirt dates.

Full Eldora Speedway 2011 Slate of Events Released
ROSSBURG, OH (January 25) – Tradition and focus summarize the 2011 Eldora Speedway schedule of events as released by track officials this week. While the 27-date slate mostly mirrors that of previous years, the Tony Stewart led team will be concentrating on each event to assure a continuation of the optimum ‘Eldora experience’ for race teams and fans. To that extent, Stewart has held the line on general admission pricing, a stand he committed to when purchasing the facility from Earl Baltes in the fall of 2004.
Headlining the lineup will be Eldora’s signature events, the Dirt Late Model Dream (June 10 & 11), Kings Royal weekend (July 15 & 16) and the World 100 (September 9 & 10). In addition, the highly anticipated Prelude to the Dream will be contested June 8, and the annual Four Crown Nationals will make up the weekend of September 23 & 24.
Among the alterations to the schedule, is a return, after a one-year absence, of the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints on October 1. Tentatively this will serve as the season championship title race for the touring All Stars.
A revision to the Baltes Classic on September 4 has piqued the interest of the Late Model fraternity. On that night, sanctioned by the Sunoco American Late Model Series, the WIX Filters sponsored main event will line-up 33 cars on the one-half mile clay oval in three-abreast formation. It will mark the largest field of cars to take the green flag in recent history.
In keeping with Eldora custom, an alphabet of sanctioning bodies will see action on the legendary speed plant.
Joining the All Star Circuit of Champions (ASCoC) as winged Sprint Car hosts will be the World of Outlaws (WoO) for two doubleheader weekends (May 6 & 7, July 15 & 16) and a single night stand (September 23). Additionally, the National Racing Alliance (NRA) Sprint Invaders will see action May 29, July 15 & 16, July 30 and again October 1.
Non-winged Sprint Car action under the United States Auto Club (USAC) banner will fill the stage April 8 & 9 and again on September 24, while non-sanctioned April 30 and again July 30.
The United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) flag will fly over Late Model competition April 16 and May 29, in addition to the Baltes Classic (Sept. 4), the Dirt Late Model Dream and the World 100.
Joining the majority of the events will be the Eldora Stock Cars and UMP Modifieds.
Variety will be fulfilled with supplementary dates including an Ohio State Tractor & Truck Pull (June 25) and a monster truck show (August 6).

ASCS Canyon Region 2011 Schedule Announced
Lonnie Wheatley, TULSA, Okla. (January 28, 2011) – The American Sprint Car Series lone wingless series, the ASCS Canyon Region, is set for its fifth year of action in Arizona with the release of the 2011 schedule.
The ASCS Canyon Region will bring the best of wingless Sprint Car racing action to fans in Arizona with 18 scheduled nights of competition at Tucson’s USA Raceway and Peoria’s Canyon Speedway Park.
The fifth year of ASCS Canyon Region competition will kick off at Tucson’s USA Raceway on Saturday night, March 12, and ultimately ends at USA as well with the wingless portion of the 44th Annual Western World Championships on November 17-19.
Along the way, the wingless aces will take to the 3/8-mile USA Raceway for a total of 13 nights with another handful of nights atop Peoria’s 3/8-mile Canyon Speedway Park clay oval.
Several traditional events are included on the 2011 schedule as well, including the May 28-29 Salute to Indy, the Firecracker 40 on July 3 and the Hank Arnold Memorial on September 3-4.
Canyon Speedway Park will also host a unique winged/wingless weekend on October 21-22 with the Canyon Southwest Championships featuring the winged Southwest Region on October 21 and then the wingless Canyon Region on October 22.
Charles Davis, Jr., outdistanced R.J. Johnson to claim his second ASCS Canyon Region championship in a row in 2010 after Jeremy Sherman claimed the initial two ASCS Canyon crowns in 2007 and 2008.

NEW TRACKS HIGHLIGHT EASTERN FOCUS SLATE;
EASTERN YOUNG GUNS ALSO ANNOUNCE 8-RACE SCHEDULE
New tracks highlight USAC’s 2011 Eastern Ford Focus campaign, which includes 22 races in North and South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio and Indiana.
Tracks new to the Eastern Focus schedule include Ace Speedway in Altamahaw, N.C., Caraway Speedway in Asheboro, N.C. and Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway. The series returns to Franklin County Speedway in Callaway, Va. after a four-year hiatus
A total of nine tracks are involved, with four of the 22 races also awarding points toward the Midwest championship. All of the 22 races are included in the 2011 battle for the Henry Ford Sweepstakes Trophy, which goes to the National Ford Focus Champion, determined by a driver’s best 12 point-scoring events across the country.
Eight races are also planned for the 2011 Carolina Focus Young Guns Series, all in conjunction with Ford Focus events.
