2011 USAC SPRINT CAR SLATE SPANS FLORIDA TO CALIFORNIA
The 2011 AMSOIL USAC National Sprint car series opens in Florida and concludes in California. At those events and in between, race fans will witness some of the greatest dirt-track action in America.
This year’s National series will mark the first time since 1987 that all events will be conducted on dirt surfaces, with pavement events separated into their own championship series for 2011.
Ocala (Fla.) Speedway hosts the “Bubba Army Sprint Nationals” openers February 17-18-19 on the three nights prior to Sunday’s running of the Daytona 500. The “Budweiser Oval Nationals” at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway currently occupy the season-ending slate November 3-4-5.
Highlights of the 2011 campaign include the “Eastern Storm” races May 30 through June 4 and “Indiana Sprint Week” events July 8 through 16, plus a number of other “tradition-rich” events.
The Midwestern slate debuts with back-to-back races at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio April 8-9, while new venues are also part of the 2011 scheduling.
Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa. joins the “Eastern Storm” for the first time with a May 30 opener, while Dodge City (Kansas) Raceway Park hosts its inaugural USAC Sprint races August 12-13.
The “Tony Hulman Classic” at the Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track is May 26, while Iowa tracks at Knoxville and Oskaloosa again host races August 7 and 9. The annual “4-Crown Nationals” is September 24 at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.

10-RACE USAC SILVER CROWN SLATE FOR 2011
USAC’s 2011 Silver Crown Championship Series will encompass 10 events, five on dirt and five on pavement, with one brand-new venue and one track returning to the series after a six-year hiatus.
The new venue is North Wilkesboro (N.C.) Speedway, the 5/8-mile paved oval which hosted NASCAR events from 1949 through 1996. A 100-lap race is on tap on July 23.
The Milwaukee Mile returns to the series on June 17-18, with the USAC Silver Crown cars and USAC’s Mopar National Midgets, plus the Mopar .25 Midgets, sharing the weekend schedule with IndyCar in an event sure to be a destination for Midwestern race fans. Wayne Reutimann won the last USAC Silver Crown race at Milwaukee in 2005.
Traditional dates include the “Sumar Classic” at the Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track April 23, the
Hoosier Hundred” at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis May 27, the “J.D. Byrider 100” at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis July 28, the “Tony Bettenhausen 100” at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield August 20, the “Ted Horn 100” at the DuQuoin (Ill.) State Fairgrounds September and the “4-Crown Nationals” at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio September 24.
Iowa Speedway welcomes the Silver Crown Cars and USAC’s Mopar Midgets back on June 24 and the second annual “Rollie Beale 150” finale is on tap at Toledo (Ohio) Speedway in concert with ARCA October 15.

9 RACES AT 4 TRACKS FOR 2011 PAVEMENT SPRINTS
The 2011 USAC pavement Sprint car slate currently includes nine races at four tracks, including the return of the popular “Thursday Night Thunder” program at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, Ind.
One of USAC’s most popular programs ever, the “Thursday Night Thunder” series produced sensational talent and racing action in the 1980s and a total of six pavement Sprint races are on the 2011 slate for the .686-mile paved oval.
The pavement calendar kicks off May 12 and is scheduled to conclude October 13, both races at ORP. In between, events are also scheduled at the Salem and Winchester (Ind.) Speedways and at the Toledo (Ohio) Speedway.
All four pavement tracks involved in the 2011 schedule have extensive USAC heritage. Winchester has hosted 138 USAC Sprint events, while Salem has witnessed 104, ORP 77 and Toledo 30.

Dodge City (Kansas) Raceway Park serves as the opening venue for USAC’s 2011 Mopar National Midget campaign, which contains 27 preliminary dates spanning the country.
The April 29-30 races at Dodge City mark USAC’s first National events at the 3/8-mile banked clay oval.
Once again, the series is scheduled to conclude with the 71st “Turkey Night Grand Prix” at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, Calif. on Thanksgiving Night, November 24.
“Indiana Midget Week,” as always, is a highlight of the schedule, with five races from June 8-12 at Hoosier dirt venues.
The Milwaukee Mile returns to the schedule June 17-18 as the USAC Silver Crown cars and Mopar .25 Midgets share the billing in an event held in concert with IndyCar.
The series’ fastest track, Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa, also returns with a June 24 program also featuring the Silver Crown cars.
The popular “Hut Hundred” once again unfolds May 21 at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., the “Night Before the 500” is scheduled May 28 at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis, Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisc. hosts the “Hall of Fame” and Pepsi Nationals” classics in August and September and the “4-Crown Nationals” is set for Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio September 24.
Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Ill. once again plays host to the “Gold Crown Nationals” in October.
New events include a July 23 date at North Wilkesboro (N.C.) Speedway in conjunction with the Silver Crown cars, a 100-lapper at the Indianapolis Speedrome July 29 and a date at the LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway September 2.

USAC/CRA 410 SERIES RETURNS TO PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY IN 2011!
(DECEMBER 16, 2010, PERRIS, CA) Promoter Don Kazarian announced on Thursday that the USAC/CRA 410 Sprint Car Series will return to Perris Auto Speedway in 2011 and will be the headline series at the track for the eighth consecutive year.
“We are pleased that we will once again be the home track of the USAC/CRA Series and of traditional 410 Sprint Car racing in California in 2011,” Kazarian said. “We plan to open the season March 11th and will close it with the 16th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals on November 3rd, 4th and 5th. As has been the case the past seven seasons, the Oval Nationals will be a full points paying race for the USAC/CRA and USAC National Sprint Car Series.”
The tentative schedule is listed below and Kazarian has indicated the June 11th date may have to be switched to August 6th.

2011 USAC WESTERN CLASSIC RACING SERIES SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (January 12, 2011) – A 16-race schedule of events has been announced for the brand-new USAC Western Classic Racing Series for 2011. The schedule consists of eight dirt and eight pavement races at 10 different race tracks.
A rules package that will equalize both 410 and 360 cubic inch Sprint Cars will be announced shortly and championships will be awarded for the dirt, pavement, and overall points series.
Promoted as a “Tribute to NARC”, races will honor a legendary member of the Northern California racing community in a tradition already established by the “Louie Vermeil Classic” at Calistoga Speedway.
The first-year series kicks off on dirt on March 11 during the “Mini Gold Cup” at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico. The USAC Western Classic Racing Series sprints will be joined by the USAC Western Midgets for a fan-friendly double-header of action.
Following Chico, the next four races will be on pavement. Kenny Shepherd’s Madera Speedway near Fresno will host the WCRS on April 2 for the “Gerhardt Classic” and again on June 11. USAC will travel to Rick Faeth’s Shasta Raceway Park on April 23 and to All American Speedway in Roseville for a race on May 14.
June 17 and 18 will see the USAC WCRS face off with the stars of the Southern California-based USAC/CRA in races at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville and Santa Maria Speedway.
The series will then get back to the pavement in July with an event at the famed Stockton 99 Speedway on July 9 and a return to All American Speedway on July 23.
One of the highlights of the 2011 calendar is a double-header at Silver Dollar Speedway on August 5 and a race at Placerville Speedway on August 6.
The USAC-promoted “Louie Vermeil Classic” will run its fourth annual revival on Labor Day weekend at historic Calistoga Speedway. It will be followed by a huge USAC Western Classic Racing Series event at Silver Dollar Speedway on Thursday September 8, during the “Gold Cup Race of Champions”.
A busy summer of Sprint Car racing will conclude with a pair of pavement races, as the series closes out its three races at Madera Speedway on September 17 and the series championship will be during the “Turkey Night Grand Prix” at TOYOTA Speedway in Irwindale.
Registration forms will be available shortly for competitors, with an option of committing to either the dirt or pavement schedules or both. Incentives are being developed for the first 16 participants exercising the “commitment” option in each championship (dirt or pavement).
The 2011 USAC Western racing schedules for all series are currently being finalized, including the existing Western Sprint Car Series of pavement races, with eight of those events included in the new Western Classic Racing Series.

This is the Tentative Schedule for the Oregon Double Shot Series WINGED and NON WING Sprint cars for 2011. 2011 brings about a change in that the NOMA Midgets will not run this year in the ODSS and the sprint cars will run Winged and NON WINGED at Madras Speedway.
