I liked Tony Bruce's post race interview talking about the track and how he wouldn't let anyone dictate how they wanted it next time.

He told it like it was... wonder if anyone from Vegas mgt saw that ... one can only hope - but doubt they would even care.........

A buddy and I was at that so called show and had to leave early because we knew we wasted our money when that so called race started..it was ugly live!

That Sat. race was really poor,don't think any car out there could have got a speeding ticket! I always prefer to watch a race where the race cars are going faster than I was when I drove to the track.

we too went down there for that race, and we too left before the midway point of the feature, the Friday night race was well worth the trip down though, it was the same way year before, there was great racing on Friday night, but follow the leader Saturday night, next year, if it's a two night show, we're just going to Friday nights races

we left early on saturday night as well. Drove all the way there from Oklahoma to see what was one of the two worst races I have ever seen (both happened this year). The Friday race was decent but saturday was just terrible.

I guess this illustrates why we can't get sprint car racing on TV. You have what many people tout as the best series in the country, at a track that is typically a racy, stand on the gas type of joint, and this is what you get. When you go to the track and you get that, you already paid. When you see that on TV you go find something interesting.

Oh and this was the night I saw that hellacious midget race, the Gold Crown finale at Granite City. Nothing at West Memphis was going to keep me away from that. I wound up not making the trip but I had planned to go down to The Ditch on Friday because I figured that would have been the better night of the two.
