Will this be able to be viewed in the US?
I'd rather be in Knoxville.

I have no facts to back this up, and I know I'm being cynical, but...
I'd HIGHLY doubt that you'll see the WSS shows here in the US. It would be absolutely cool, but I'm not expecting anything. They hardly show any WoO shows, why would they show sprints from another continent?

I listened to one on the internet a couple years ago. Think from Brisbane. Can't remember the time difference, but thought it was a different day there than here. If you can watch them on the internet and I have high speed, than it could make the winter shorter, but I have Sprint Car World as a favorite and in 5 minutes looking just now, couldn't find where the link would be when it is available. Is it not there at this time? It's a busy busy site. Information overload almost.
Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

I've watched via the SprintcarWorld link in years past also. They only put the link up a week or so before the event. However, I think the outfit that was doing the live videocast has folded. Don't think it functioned last year.
In any event, the WSS is providing live (text) updates of heat and feature results and a live web audio broadcast of all of their events at http://www.worldseriessprintcars.com/WSS_NightlyResult You can get there via the "2010/2011 Season" link at the top of the http://www.worldseriessprintcars.com/ home page.
The first WSS event is a Brisbane International Speedway, this Sat., 11/20 at 6pm (their time - that will be sometime early Sat. morning in the US, depending on where you are. That would be 12:00 am PST. Check http://www.worldtimezone.com/ for your time zone)
"Nominations" (our entry list) include US racers Jason Sides and Tyler Walker. Jason is subbing for Brooke Tatnell until Brooke gets back down there from the US.

Chico
They start around 1.00am west coast time
Last week they started around 11.00pm west coast and got over around 4.30am (there was a nasty crash and it took longer to get the guy out of the car)

So Brian, I assume you will post a link here as soon as you are aware of it?
Thanks.
They start at different times depending on what time zone in Oz the race is in (just like here).

Times do change (were there at)I'll post friday night Also this weekend is the Tyson Perez Memorial Fire Service Plus Sprintcar Allstars RD 1 Outside posted "Fire Service Plus-BSA Sprintcar All Stars season starts at Warrnambool's Premier Speedway on November 27th. The night will be dedicated to our good friend - Tyson Perez. “After a tragic accident in the US earlier this year we decided we wanted to recognise our friend and thought a Memorial Race was an excellent way to do this. Spud was so well known and will be missed at all our race meetings this season – we just had to do something to acknowledge this.” Mandy Searle says.
With hard work from Wayne Smith (driver of the #V38 car) and sponsors we have managed to secure an additional $3,000 to put towards the prize money on the night. “Wayne has worked hard to lock all this in and tells me that he doesn’t want any recognition for it – but I believe thanks need to be given to him. Thanks also to all the Sponsors that have helped out with this also. His mother Deb Tucker and Step Father Peter Tucker will be helping with the Presentations on the night. We see it as a fitting way to kick off the season to honour Spud in this worthwhile way.” Mandy tells us.
A Series Launch is on Friday night at the Flying Horse Hotel, Princess Hwy, Warrnambool from 7.30pm and a car display on Saturday morning. “Friday night gives us a chance to officially recognise our Series Sponsors and get together for the start of the season. The Car display is from 11.00am till 1.00pm and there will be give aways for kids, drivers autograph signing etc. So if you are around on that weekend drop in and say hi to us.” says Mandy. “We would love to catch up.” "

Why wouldn't SPEED show sprints from Australia? All SPEED ever shows is dumb racing from another island. Like I care who won the Trans Am off road series race in Turkey! SPEED sucks! Not to mention 3 hours a day of NASCAR live, NASCAR post race show, and the NASCAR post-post race show and the NASCAR post-post-post race show.
Let's not forget PINKS..."You sumbitch, you were using your nitrous!" give me 2 car lengths and take off your bottle and we'll run 'em again you sumbitch. My Daddy built this motor in his gerage for less than $1,000 and I know I can whip heem, yeeha you sumbitch

Have you ever watched much of the SPEED channel after the last NASCAR weekend? There isn't much on that interests me. Even Wind Tunnel is shut down until the NASCAR portion of Daytona comes around in February. They used to show some Lucas Oil Late Model races during the winter, but those were on during the season this year so I'm not anticipating seeing those either. The Chili Bowl will probably be on sometime, though (just a guess).
And here's a question: I keep seeing posts on this board that there aren't WoO shows on because they don't make any money so there has to be someone to pay for them. Since the WSS obviously found a way to get on the Australian SPEED, will the US SPEED just show the tape since it won't cost any extra to produce? That would be the only way they find their way on the air here in my opinion.
Signature here.

Can't really speak for them showing sprint cars from Oz until it's confirmed or debunked by a 'reputable' source but...I do know in the past I've seen coverage on SPEED of the touring or "sedan" classes racing down under. That leads me to believe there is at least a possibility of them also showing sprints here in the US.

Way to go Mandy and gang! The Aussies always take care of their own. I'd give my right arm to be back there at Warrnambool this weekend for the festivities. Hope the weather is right and you raise heaps. All the best, Take It Easy....
