These were written by somebody who truly doesn't seem to know what they are writing. Looks like everyone who attends will be getting audited on the 23rd.

I heard from a reliable source that they're working on an October Dirt Nationals. Thursday through Saturday in October will be a good time for this event as there's not much going on that time of year.
The only downside is that the sun will be going down early by that time of year and I won't be able to take any of those long shots from the top row of the grandstand.

Nothing etched in stone so far as far as I know. I was told in a telephone conversation last night that when the details are hammered out there will be an announcement. There's plenty of time before the vacation rosters go around, we haven't even had our turkey yet.
Although unofficial, I believe the October weekend they are looking at would be the same weekend as the Viking Fall Classic. The Big O Showdown at Ogilvie likely would be the weekend right before that. It will be interesting to see when the final official version of the October show is released to see what classes of open wheel cars are included.

LOL Mike.
Yep that appears to be a typo, as I believe that should read IRA 410 sprint cars on July 23. Just like I have been the past two seasons, I am looking forward to next season already. Between local events for the UMSS winged 360 sprint cars at several different tracks, several appearances by the IRA 410 sprints, a few shows in the area by the WoO sprints, and several specials at tracks like Jackson, the outlook for winged sprint car racing in this general area is once again favorable. Throw in some non-winged sprint car exhibition shows and several micro sprint shows and open wheel fans should have a decent amount of choices in 2011 in addition to the weekly events at tracks like Arlington, Redwood and Jackson. For those so inclined, a longer drive to tracks like Knoxville, Husets or Grand Forks can be a fun time for sprint car fans. The Sioux Falls area of SD for ages has had plenty of sprint car racing to choose from. Although we are nowhere near what they have, at least the number of options for Twin City area sprint car fans has increased a bit in recent years.
