Cubic could you please post the brand(s) of TV(s) you own? Got a surround sound system? DVD or Blu-ray player?? If so what who manufactures them? How 'bout the brand of computer you use to post your "opinions"? Just wondering if you practice what you preach....

I'm sick of hearing this type of idiotic reasoning. Two wrongs will never make a right. Just because your basket ball or calculator is made over seas certainly doesn't justify your street car, your race car, your dry wall, your pick up truck, your lawn mower, your motorcycle etc being made by a bunch of commies. Our country is on its knees since our industry is gone.... period. Jesus is all we have left! It is an absolute crime that Lincoln Speedway's so called champion drives a Chinese race car sponsored by a Toyota dealership. As much as I would love to be Lincoln Speedway's super sprint champion, I would stay home before I drove that turd.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

I think it's idiotic that you think that way. If someone is SO pro-buying American made products they should practice what they preach. Otherwise STFU about it!

Actually, politicians keep trying to take Jesus away too......
So it is a crime for the champion to drive a foreign made car with an American car sponsor? Before you bash, I have been to a Toyota plant, and I haven't been out of the country.....

Sprint cars have always been one of the cheapest race cars there are. Motor and tire cost is what has crippled the sport, not chassis. Late model chassis cost way more. The only reason they are being made in China is greed, not love of racing. American manufacturers could use cheap Chinese tubing if they wanted to at substantial savings but they all care too much to even do that, much less outsource their whole operations.
|
So you know for a fact that greed is the only reason?
American builders care too much??? Now we are getting in to some deep sh!t. If they care so much, why do they keep giving away free cars (which you bash XXX for doing) and jacking the price up on the ones the local boys have to buy? Don't give me any crap about that not happening either, XXX will NEVER give away as many free cars as Maxim has. Care too much, that has to be the joke of the day right?

There are indeed American owned and made TVs, home theater systems and computers. Shows how much you know....
|
I have to tell you if there are american made tvs I do not know where to find them. Mine happens to be a panasonic from oct 1994 assembled in U.S.A. from American and foriegn parts. I do not own a home theatre and have a china computer. Who makes a U.S.A. tv because I would like to get a new one thanks. Also I should have said readilly available . Electronics and most other items you have to search for American made sprint cars are not the case.

The xxx chassis produces more net revenue per unit then a maxim does because of cost of production and material. That's why almost everything else is produced over there. It's cheaper to build it in china then ship it here then it is to build it here at such high product cost and high labor rate. So if xxx produced there chassis here it would be more expensive. DUH

Just like all cheap imports, cuts both ways. Cheaper for the buyer short term, but in the long term it costs us jobs, plus we lose the capacity to produce stuff with the shutting of factories & shops.
This is a much bigger issue than Sprint cars. Neither political party seems interested in addressing the loss of our industrial base.... bought off by campaign contributions??
I admit, I shop at Walmart too...
Oops, sorry to bring up politics......

That's OK, there are times when people either don't care, or aren't aware of what there actions and habits allow to happen, and the consequences of them. A little friendly reminder is hardly out of line on these two threads.

I do ... and I didn't say anything about it having to be a new TV now did I? My Blazer is over 10 years old... if you really want to have a US made and owned TV there are options - but not necessarily new.
Audio systems and computers are another story altogether ... there are new of both available and made and owned in the good old USA.

The strength of the Chinese manufacturing market is directly related to the desire of the American Consumer to have materialistic items, manufactured to a high standard, as cheaply as possible.
