Cody Morris, TULSA, OK (November 7th 2010) - As the temperature begins its final plunge in the Red River region, a firestorm of Lucas Oil ASCS2 action will light the Texas night for the final time of an absolutely stellar 2010 racing season this coming November 12th and 13th weekend, as the full quartet of Lucas Oil ASCS2 racing divisions join their sprint car brethren in bidding farewell to open wheel racing fans from across the region.

Tyler Thomas spearheads the headlining Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midget charge after a clinical performance in both the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midget and Non Wing divisions in October's Cowtown Sprint Nationals. To add to the Midget madness, championships are on the line in the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw, Non Wing, and Restricted divisions as the 2010 campaign comes to a close with an event circled on every race chaser's 2010 calendar - Cowtown Speedway's 4th Annual November Sprint Shootout.

Collinsville, Oklahoma talent Tyler Thomas leads the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midgets into the 2010 finale, having stood triumphant in victory lane in 4 of the 5 contested events in the inaugural 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midget campaign, including a most recent Cowtown Sprint Nationals score aboard the Factor One, Alpine Stars, Bell Helmets, Thriller Photo, Walter Web Design, Revolution Racing Engines, and BT Powdercoat sponsored no. 91.

Thomas will defend his Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midget success against a stout field of fine open wheel talents searching for their first Lucas Oil ASCS2 Midget score, as well as the lone spoiler to Thomas' ASCS2 Midget perfection, Glenpool, Oklahoma's Matt Ward.

A blazing contest that has been brewing north and south of the Red River for the duration of the 2010 Outlaw campaign will finally crown a winner. Sapulpa, Oklahoma's Blake Hahn takes the hardest fought 9 point lead one could fathom into the Cowtown finale over Norman, Oklahoma standout Christopher Bell. With even less space separating them entering recent ASCS2/Cowtown action, the young Norman upstart looked to turn the tables, starting 3 rows ahead of the leading Hahn.

However, last minute setup adjustments and masterful driving in the mid stages of the event helped propel the savvy Sapulpa star ahead of Bell and into a podium finish. That key performance was one of many throughout Blake Hahn's 2010 campaign aboard his Lucas Oil, Metric Cycles, Afco Shocks, Lajoie Seating, and Sawyer Chassis sponsored no. 52 Pepsi Challenger. Pryor, Oklahoma's Frank Flud enters the event 3rd in Outlaw points, 66 markers behind Hahn's lead pace.

Longview, Texas native Tyson Hall looks to defend Texas turf in repeat fashion after ripping the field in dominating fashion in October's Cowtown Sprint Shootout.

As Norman, Oklahoma's outstanding open wheel ace Christopher Bell looks to settle a season long score with Blake Hahn in the Outlaw division, he needs only attend to clinch an electrifying 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing Championship aboard the KMK Enterprises, Ruston Racing and Development, Sawyer Chassis, Millenium Roofing, HomeCreations.com, and Sleeper Graphix sponsored red and black no. 21 machine.

A winner of a remarkable seven Lucas Oil ASCS2 2010 Non Wing main events over arguably some of the toughest Non Wing competition in the country, Bell enters Cowtown's ASCS2 finale with a 126 point lead over Pauls Valley, Oklahoma pilot Steven Shebester. But it was not always so, as not too long ago Shebester had sliced that lead to less than 20 markers, but awful luck at Tulsa, Oklahoma's famed Port City Raceway, allowed a resurgent Bell to strengthen his lead.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma native Shelby Byrd enters the 2010 finale third in the Non Wing ranks, trailing Bell by 197 points. Byrd looks to pick up where he left off in October after screaming his way through the field to a 3rd place finish.

If October's Cowtown Sprint Nationals are any indication, the ASCS2 invaders look to have their hands full as over 60 Non Wing pilots descended upon Cowtown clay with Tyler Thomas out dueling sprint car ace Kevin Ramey for the $1,500 prize.

In the final Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted event of the 2010 campaign, Hulbert, Oklahoma's sensational Karley Kay Dobson eyes a 2010 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted Championship. But like the Outlaw point battle, the Restricted battle is just as close. Dobson leads West Plains, Missouri interstate bandit Logan Martin by a narrow 13 points.

Trailing Martin by nearly 120 markers midway through the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted campaign, Dobson turned up the heat, halving Martin's lead in 4 successive events before taking command in Port City Labor Day Weekend action. Heading into the November Sprint Shootout, Dobson has to feel good about her chances.

In 18 events of the 2010 Restricted campaign, Dobson has 18 top 10 finishes, 14 top 5's, and 3 wins in the last 4 starts, including acing October's Cowtown Sprint Nationals aboard the Momo's Racing Engines, Stallard Chassis and Components, JPM Precision Machine, Crescent Valley Jamboree, and Bill's Body Shop sponsored familiar black and pink no. 28.

However, Martin has blunted Dobson's charge, keeping her within eyesight in each of the past 6 events. A winner of six Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted events in the 2010 campaign, Martin looks to return to the midseason form in which those wins were produced.

Sand Springs, Oklahoma's young warrior Dalton Wisely enters the season finale 3rd in the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted points, trailing Dobson by 123 points. A winner of 4 Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted main events, Dalton looks to capitalize on recent ASCS2 action at Cowtown Speedway in which he placed 4th.

The four Lucas Oil ASCS2 divisions join their sprint car brethren at Cowtown Speedway in presenting the all open wheel 4th Annual November Sprint Shootout presented by City Vending and Shop The Boss.

Friday's pits open at 4pm with grandstands open to race fans at 5pm. ASCS2 heat race and qualifier action, as well as a complete ASCS sprint car program, goes green at 7pm.

Saturday's pits open at 4pm with grandstand open to race fans at 430pm. ASCS2 features and a complete ASCS sprint car program commences at 630pm.

General admission tickets are $20 Friday and $25 Saturday, with $35 pit passes each night. In case of inclement weather, ASCS2 action at the November Sprint Shootout would be completed Sunday, November 14th with gates opening at 1pm and racing to begin at 2pm.
