Do you guys know if the coverage they are showing is live, or is there a tape delay? Just curious.

rewind the DVR...no...he ran right into Lance
rewind the DVR again...nope...he ran right into Lance and then got plowed by Sammy

Would be interested in hearing from people that actually went to the races. On TV, it looked like the dust was unbearable. I am not sure if that was the case, or just the angle of the cameras/lighting. It also looked like the track surface did not allow for much racing. I actually gave up watching during the Big Block Modifed A-main. Fiinally, was it as cold as it looked?
On paper, it sounds like a great weekend of racing. However, the TV coverage did not portray it that way.

I wonder how much the Speedway paid for the continuous adds to by tickets? Including one after the last race was over.

I thought the coverage was pretty decent overall - but it was rather weird how they showed only a couple of heats of sprints and LMs like they were live but then only recapped others (including Sammy's and Schrader's) with results graphics. Seems they could have showed highlights of the heats instead of only a results graphic while they talked about the particular heat race.
Cameras looked excellent in HD (first time in full HD - previous shows were only widescreen SD) except for SJ Hunt's pit cam and it looked just plain weird color-wise and the focus was off as the person being interviewed was soft yet the background was sharp and in focus - don't know if the camera was having issues or if the camera op didn't know how to white-balance and focus properly. Regardless it was night and day difference image-quality-wise from the coverage from the Grove.
Audio was nice most of the time with decent surround nat sound, but at times the surround nearly drowned out Bobby and Brad - and at other times the surround was nearly non-existent during Shane and Dick's race calls.
As for the track surface - it was better than I expected after so many cars and a matinee race earlier. At least it was smooth and not totally rubber-down. The SDS mod race earlier yesterday turned into a fiasco tire-wise.
As always a HUGE thank you to WRG for bringing racing to the comfort of my living room as I didn't have to travel 1100 miles/17 hrs and freeze my butt off to see last night's action.

And when they did recap the heats, the results came and went like a strobe light.
I guess they think we all have DVR's and can rewind.

The only places they should be racing cars (any type) in November is...Florida, Arizona or Cali.
The travelers draw out the end of their season at least a month too long.
And end it in N.C......aka NASCAR Country???

I have a feeling that may have to do with the fact that SPEED is located in Charlotte so the travel expense really wouldn't be a factor.

WRG headquarters is in Concord, NC too ... they moved there from Norman, OK to be close to the NASCAR money.
