You'll have to admit that he looked very cool, calm, and collected about about it though. He just gave him one nice little old wheel slap, then pulled away. I've seen Levi race more than a few time's, and it surprised me that he did that.

Gardner admitted driving over Jones so when Jones retaliated it canceled them both out in my view. 2 brainfades equally opposed cancels each other out. End of story.

Watching the internet feed, it looked like two hard nosed racers fighting for the win, both of them them going at it with everything they had. Sometimes shit happens.

Gardner admitted fault in the incident, but wasn't sorry for it because of several instances that Damion had "kept score" on throughout the year.

Wow, very mature, intelligent comments made about a racing incident. Winged Worriers take note, this is how it's done.

Awesome racing tonight USAC.

Please don't lump all the winged drivers in the same group. Not everyone is a hothead. :D

Isn't a "winged warrior" leading points heading in to tonight?

I'm sure my friend Sean won't mind me telling you that he was referring to the post's about the incident, and not about the drivers involved. I mean really, it's as plane as day..Wow, very mature, intelligent comments made about a racing incident. Put fans in there with winged warrior part if that will make it clearer for ya.

I don't know who's leading the points, and I'm to lazy to look, but if it's Bud, he's anything but a full time, or even close to being a winged warrior nowadays's; and his big wins for some time have been in non wing stuff... The cup might have been the only time he's ran a wing all year. Tim, now that's a different story.

I figured that since a Swindell wasn't involved it would get swept under the the rug. Levi retaliated just as Swindell did last week but because it was Sammy Swindell the haters lit up the message boards but Levi's stunt last night was no different.

Believe Bud has been running the whole GSC schedule the past few years and most of the 360 races at Ocean Speedway (Watsonville). He races a lot more with a wing now than ever. Of course he still runs the occasional wingless race and the Silver Crown series.

Haven't seen the vid of Levi and Gardner yet but I'll make my own opinion once I do.

It was a lot different, and not only in the way it was done, but in the fact that Levi doesn't have a history of acting like a meat head on the track. Lets face it, I'm certainly no Sammy hater, but he's brought a lot of this stuff on himself. He's even managed to get in fights with drivers, when he's not even driving at that event.

As far as sweeping it under the rug, since when is talking about it in a rational manner sweeping it under the rug? USAC will, or have already hand down a decision, and like all USAC decisions, some won't like it.http://www.usacracing.com/sprint_index/news_s/4192.html

Another thing that we don't do for the most part in the non winged world is make excuses for the drivers that sound like NASCAR crap... "they haven't been with the team very long". Or he would have won with a different crew chief, engine, you name it, and they have a excuse...The wing fell off is my favorite..LOL

No I'm not a wing hater, in fact I'll be seeing plenty of them at the Western World in 2 weeks.

BIGFISH that's exactly what I'm trying to say here. A lot of people based their comments because of Sammy's "history" they chose to chime in and give their .02 cents worth even though Sammy showed his displeasure with Wimmers move just as Levi did to Gardner lastnight.

No difference, just because of who it was and his "history" as you put it.....

There was a big difference! Sammy was out of control when he went after Wimmer and Levi did it in a very cool and calculated way. He didn't race around the track like a maniac spinning out again, and putting other cars in jeopardy; and unlike a court of law, his past over the top behaviour doe's count. History as I put it is just saying it like it is, and I've witness it in person more than once..That said, I'm looking forward to seeing him at the Western in a few weeks, it's just to bad he's to old to run a non wing car too. After all, I'm sure he could get a ride as long as he's already there..DUCK KENNY, DUCK!

This is not an attack on non-wing racing at all, but a lot of the people chiming in and giving their two cents worth in the Swindell incident was also because there are a ton more winged racing fans on this board than non-wing fans.
