Since he's now won consecutive All Star championships, and won the Nationals this year, as well as thirteen features this year, I'd vote for Tim Shaffer!

How can you be a comeback guy if you won the championship the year before (Shafer). How can Steve Kinser EVER be considered for this? Sammy, maybe. But my vote would definatly go to Paul McMahan. He has really put his name back on the map, and has been a threat to win any night the Outlaws unload.

I think all of the drivers mentioned are likely prospects for DoY, but I'm leaning towards Paulie. He has had a fantastic year.

Definitely Paul Mcmahan. I went to a race last year at Cottage Grove where he was selling shirts for the Dude, and now he's battling for top 5 in the WoO points.

In the past I was not overly impressed with McMahon but he drove this year with a fire in his belly and looked aggresive and hungry. Nice job. But.. Because of his amped up schedule and being involved and putting on great shows all year( big one's especially) in many classes I'd give it to Sammy. He's the name everyone is talking about.

Wayne Johnson might be in the mix before the years over.

McMahon never had much success with Smoke but have to give him the 'comeback' this year. Also thinking about Jessica Zimken. Never saw much about her in NSSN where I always read the feature race results around the east coast as well as elsewhere. She's done super since getting help from Stewart. Many many great finishes.

Zimken has had 41 starts this year, would have been 7 more but for rainouts. Runs the Empire Super Sprint series up in the NE. 4 first place features, 3 second place, 2 third places, and a 4th. Thats in only 12 starts. She ran 2nd and 4th in two All Star races, one in New York, other in Ontario, worse in other All Star races. At Ohsweken, Ontario she has two wins, a 2nd and a 4th in 410 and ran 4th in a big race in Cedar Lake, WI, 4th at Jackson,MN. She has been a mid packer in WoO competition. She has been in 3 woO dashes but once in the features in that stiff competition she falls back to mid pack finishes, can't hold her position.
I did say that I was only "thinking about Jessica Zimken". That's about it. The change to Stewart equipment has been a tremendous help. Not an anti-female thing, but Becca Anderson had trouble holding her starting position, Miranda Throckmorton who runs the All Star series is another female who can do well in short races, but once in the feature, falls back, same was true of Erin Crocker. Christi Passmore also looked very good in family equipment, could hold her own, but again in feature races, kept getting passed. Is there a trend here. Don't get me wrong, I like women!
