What did Speed use to record the race? A 1980 camcorder? Picture quality kinda sub par.

No Joke! It looks like it's in 3D and we're not wearing the glasses. SPEED coverage is usually pretty crisp. I'm not sure what happened.

People are really bitching about someone giving results from a race that happened three weeks ago?

Content-wise it was a great show and it was nice to have three hours to get all of the racing covered. And a BIG thanks to WRG for bringing WoO sprint car racing to my living room - I'm sure we all appreciate that. It reminded me of the good old days ... video-wise that is ... kinda had that retro/VHS look to it... wink

One last thing, since I already have my undies in a bunch......Who the hell cares how, why, or what they used to film the race.....IT IS ON TV............I am enjoying the hell out of it, as it is pouring outside right now in Southern Wisconsin, in OCTOBER............. GEEZ....Is anybody EVER happy??? I know I am not with Dic*hea*s blowing the last scene......

And since you have your undies in a bunch already.... instead of coming on here calling people names why dont you sit and watch the race instead of getting on a PUBLIC forum where race results are posted. BTW Sammy won

I'm pretty much an idiot too, but I'll throw my opinion in anyways. This could easily have been a 2 hour show. I tuned in at the beginning and got bored pretty quickly. I checked the time and noticed that 33 minutes had elapsed and I had seen no more than 2 or 3 qualifying laps. I had seen no racing at all at that point. I had seen plenty of commercials and plenty of interviews. I'd rather see racing. I really don't give a rat's ass whether Lance Dewease thinks the posse can beat the outlaws again. I actually tuned in to something else for awhile and came back for the B main. That's why sprint car racing never has and never will succeed on TV, even diehard fans get bored with it.

i think maddog might have picked his name because he drinks too much mad dog cheap wine, lol if you do not want to know who won a race do not go to a racing website dedicated to those races, by the way I listened live to the race that night, read the results next day, recorded the show last night and look forward to watching it later today

Again ... one can only wonder....

You should be happy that it was shown on television period. No matter what type of video equipment was being used.

Glad someone else seen the poor quality of the picture.

So, let me get the straight. A internet user, who uses this message board, is crying cause someone listed who the winner was? LMAO! If you log in to this forum once a week, you know who won for christ sake.

If you really did not want to know the results of the race, so you could watch the race on TV more than three weeks later, then why are you even on the interenet? Looking at a sprint car racing website, where we all talk about the results of races?

Sorry maddog, but you are the ass, idiot, and anything else you may have called someone on this thread. This is a sprint car racing website/ message board. race results are what we do here.

Gotta agree with dirt, this was a race run three weeks ago, shown as a taped broadcast, and the results have been all over this board and other boards, including a "Sammy's not Posse, nor is he an Outlaw" thread...if you choose to live in a cave and ignore the boards, racing papers, Speed TV's results show, please do so.

But to blast anyone for posting results that may spoil your ignorance of those results is, IMO, proof that you really belong in the depths of that cave.....it's the 21st century, which is rampant with technology, like it or not!

So when, or are they going to show it again? I was kind of busy last night http://www.hoseheadforums.com/forum.cfm?ThreadID=48507 and missed it. Please, don't tell me who finished second. I want it to be a surprise.

Edit...

No kidding. It was slightly out of focus 99% of the time.

the portable lightes they hauled in were way to low to the track and blasted right in the fans eyes...they stopped the action at one point to move 1 light down about 5 feet when they arellay needed to be GONE or RAISED. i did not see the broadcast, but sitting there in person, the lighting looked backwards from years past...
