mike henry won the main at ocean,2nd BK third bud k.......race was shorten to 20 laps as they had 120 race cars in the pits.......nice runs by kurt nelson and keith day....i wish they would just try an consider the sprint car racers,and fans and run the sprint heats first an the main by ten oclock..i think 24 sprinters checked in...

I agree with Ed and i doubt i will ever go again to another one of there sprint shows, except for GSC.. The primary reason i went there last night was to see the the 360 sprints. I really don't understand why they don't run the sprint main before the dwarf and four banger mains or either start the show earlier. I feel that those of us that are sprint car fans and believe me there were several there that were bitching about the sprint main starting close to11pm knowing that there was no way they were going to get the complete show in. I would think the drivers, teams and Wright Construction who sponsors the sprints would not be overjoyed either, i certainly would not if i was afilliated with either of those groups other than the (winner) but that is just my opinion and i'm probably wrong as usual. However it was a very good sprint main though and shaping up to be better had they been able to get the whole show in.. I do however compliment the promoter for the great changes and effort he has put into making this a top notch facility because it is certainly 100% better compared to what is was two years ago.. I also do understand the dwarfs, 4 bangers and stockers bring a lot of money though the back gate but being mainly a sprint car fan i would need to see some changes myself regarding the 360's being able to a complete show before i will attend again but hell i'm just one fan which don't mean much..

Due to higher car counts than intially anticipated, Ocean Speedway has eliminated all Figure 8 and Destruction Derby races for the 2007 season. This will allow more time for drivers to complete the main event races.

Good weekend for Mike Henry.
I would like to make it out to one of these Friday night shows but the driver over highway 17 is just too bad on a Friday. Looking forward to GSC running there.

Yeah, but living near Campbell makes 17 a lot closer. Getting down to 129 after work from Menlo Park would be more than a chore. I think my best bet on seeing a Friday show would be "catching a cold" around noonish.

Very sorry that you did not have a good time, I understand what you are saying and I agree. I just posted some major changes to the schedule on Friday nights. We will run half as many cars from here on out to make sure we get all 30 laps and get fans out of the track by 10:30. Im very new at promoting a race track {30 races}and only 3 sprint car races. I will keep making changes tell I get it right.

Cut ocean speedwat a break, they are a work in progress. I'm thrilled to see such a strong start for the new 360 division. Yeah, not every night is gonna be perfect, but i've been to many less than stellar GSC shows. ( hell, i've been to some bad outlaw shows!). They will get it right, and i thinkbooting the demo and 8's are a perfect example of that.(rednecks in the south bay must be PISSED!). anyway, give them a month and go back
