WowSandy64.I thought Amy did all Sammy's PR .Can't belive he has created another droan! Dealt with Slammy many time's since 1979 in florida. No doubt he can drive a sprinter however any way you slice it he's the biggest little pr#ck you'll ever have the misfortune to meet. Now before anyone gets really bent lets not forget i'm entiteled to my opinion that is based on 25yrs plus of dealing with what me and many others consider should have been one of the greatest of all times!!!Yes he should of won Kville Nats. but geuss what Sh#t happens. So rip on me all you want folks but if he was as good as you all think would MR Kinser have all those wins? Things that make you go Hmmmm!

How many did Steve win without Sammy or Doug even there running for points.
Steve was the only one to run for points every year
Maybe he acted like the person he was meeting

Don't know Decaire and don't really care but if he drives a sprint car, I'd watch, especially if he's good at it. Schatz could have easily been on that list, but maybe Robin Miller reads this forum. Good to see him have the nerve to place that many sprint car drivers on the list. My list would have ten sprint car drivers. No, I'd have to add a couple dirt late model drivers.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.

Born@Wilmot:
I am not a "drone" and I really do not appreciate being called names by someone who doesn't even know me. You could have posted your response without the name calling, but it does show alot about you that you did. You proved my point of my post, that people can be jackasses about someone and they don't really know the person at all. Thank you for proving my point.

I really think that some people need to go back and look up the definition of a "fan" It is different than a definition of a friend. As a fan, I do not need to personally know Sammy to have an opinion on him. As a fan, I can judge the things that I see on the track, in interviews, and on TV to form my opinion. This is what fans do. It is different than what frineds do.
Dale Earnhardt JR had thousands of fans that love him and hate him, but do any of them know him personally? Kyle Busch is probably the most hasted driver in NASCAR, but do any of the fans know him personally? My wife loves the Dallas Cowboys, but she has never met any of the current players. She hates the Washington Redskins, but once again she have never met any of the players. Fans are the reasons that sports are great. Fans are the reason that drivers can race for large purses. It is not the responsibility of a Fan to know the person that they are cheering for personally. It is the responsiblity of the Fan to cheer or boo the persons that they like or dislike.
How many fans did Tiger Woods have that never knew his personal life? How many of those same fans now hate Tiger for his personal life? Yet, none of those fans will ever meet or talk to Tiger.
I am a race car fan. When I am at the track, I hate Sammy, and I do not feel bad about it.

Responsibility to boo? What, are you 12? I booed a driver once, when I was about 10. My dad taught me real quick that I was not to boo ANY driver. Go ahead and cheer, clap, or whatever trips your trigger for your favorites, but why not show that you do not care for other drivers with silence? And yes, you payed your hard earned dollars for your ticket, but the drivers are putting their lives on the line for your entertainment, too. They should be respected for that, if nothing else.
Yes, "fan" is derived from the word "fanatic," and even though Websters (or whatever dictionary you choose to use) probably won't distinguish between the two, there is a big difference in the two. "Fan" more describes someone who is passionate about something. "Fanatic" more describes someone who takes their passion to an extreme, and who is, or almost, consumed by it.
Someone mentioned Steve Kinser's winning record versus Sammy Swindell's winning record. It was also noted later about the difference in full seasons ran by the two. Now then, I'm not knocking Steve or his record and respect him for all his achievements. He will, and should, statistically speaking, go down as the best sprint car driver in history, but something else to note is that Sammy is an innovator. How many seasons did he spend testing dirt tires for Goodyear while everyone else was running already established tires such as Firestone, McCreary, and etc.? How many years did he spend testing and trying other things? Hmmmm, kinda makes a person wonder how many more wins he might have had, had he been running what was known to work instead of testing. Also, how many of Steve's wins have came post-Karl? Here's a quote from another very good driver after the Steve and Karl split with Mark driving Karl's car. "All these years we thought Steve Kinser was God. Now we know he was just driving God's car."

If you are going to go to the dictionary get the right word.
Fan is short for fanatic
–noun
1. a person with an extreme and uncritical enthusiasm or zeal, as in religion or politics. The amount of PC on this board today is at an all time high. I guess none of you were at Knoxville to see the people wearing the anti-Schatz shirts. I guess none of you heard half of the stands boo Donny as he walked across the podium. I remember reading about the same thing happening when Kinser was winning all of his championships. I guess none of you did any of that. When I go watch races and sports, I am a fan. I want my team to win and the other team to lose. There are drivers, I like. There are drivers, I am impartial too, and there are a couple that I hate. It is no different than a college football fan. Do we really think the fans of Texas don't hate Texas A&M. Geogia fans hate Auburn. Michigan fans hate Michigan State. I really don't think people are upset that I said that I hate a driver. It is the fact that I hate thier driver.

Dude, you don't understand what I'm trying to say. Boo every driver you want, thats part of the fun. But to say you flat out hate somebody, somebody you don't even know, is harsh. Unless you own the car they are driving, no driver owes you anything, we PAY to watch them entertain us. They are PAID to race a car. You need to understand that as a fellow Sprint Car Fanatic, I simply don't get the HATE part. I pride myself in being very different than a college football fan, I'M A RACE FAN!! I hate veggies, waking up early, last calls, fuel stops, and curfews.(and that I'm not Gods gift to women). I'm sure you are a great person and somebody I'd have a beer with, so lets start a new here and THANK all those drivers that entertain us every weekend.

I too was shocked that Robin didn't know who DeCaire was given the feature article in NSSN a few weeks back, the article in SC&M earlier this year, the MSXSS championship, his Little 500 run and his couple of USAC starts.
I'm not complaining about Robin because I love him and he's pretty much the only reason I ever visit the SpeedTV website, but it did shock me that he didn't know who DeCaire was given his exploits around Indiana this year.
