Hey folks, we`re about to upgrade our truck for next year and have been looking seriously at a toter. I was hoping to get some advise on likes or dislikes. We currently use a powerstroke dualie to pull a 36ft trailer and plan on being on the road alot next year. We`re tryin to decide the cost differences etc. Any thoughts would be appriciated, thanks

I found this site a while back and visit it frequently, there is a "chat" section on specific manufactures to building your own, most us racers have a pretty good selection of tools and ideas on what we could tylor fit to ourselves and save some big $$$ over purchasing one new ,used ,or done? hope you find some good information there.

Last year I sold my 93 KW toter home and purchased a 2004 Volvo VNL 780 from Aaron Elliott ([email protected]) at Arrow Truck Sales in Kansas City, MO. The Kenworth was a great truck. I had it for 10 years and really didn't need that much space. The VNL 780 has double bunks and a work-station. For mostly local racing it really fits our needs best.

From someone who has driven OTR, I have just a bit of advise. NEVER.....EVER....let someone sleep in the top bunk while the truck is moving. Many people have been killed by doing just that.

I travel to most events with a couple of family members and one friend, if we cross the states borders our overnight costs /hotels ect get pretty pricey, we have split up a few times and one team pulls the race rig and one drives the camper between the two we gobble quite a bot of fuel , but , no security gard tells us to shut the party down,we can shower, eat, sleep, when we want.it makes for some pretty close quarters but thats my team. not much differant than a hunting or fishing trip we win together we loose together just a small weekend warrior team , if we keep on keeping on, a (smaller) toter would proubly suit our needs greatly..
