“All the Awesome People “
I would like to take this time to THANK everyone for the assistance provided to my son, Billy Sellers, on the evening of March 31, 2007 at the Placerville Speedway. It was a terrible accident and everyone that helped him assisted in saving his life.
We, the Sellers family are honored to be associated with each of you and the Placerville Speedway for the past forty two plus (42+) years and three generations of racing Champions.
We are a Racing family; as fans in the grandstands, racers, wives, husbands, families ,promoters, officials ,push vehicles and workers at the raceway , each in their own way truly take care of their own “The Racing Family “. It was evident in the hours and days following the accident and the heartfelt donations, which were tremendous, from everyone on the following Saturday, April 7, 2007 and continuing. The immediate response was tremendous and overwhelming.
I know that we all get blessings in life but the passing of the helmet on racing night for Billy was so unexpected and heartfelt that it touched ALL our hearts. The emotion of the night was felt throughout the grandstands and I can testify many tears were seen. Now you have filled our lives with hope, relief, and gratitude. Your prayers from all over the country have been answered . Billy is able to walk at this time with the assistance of a walker and progressing daily.
God Bless you for your genuine concern and for opening your hearts to my son, Billy Sellers. He has enjoyed hearing from everyone through webs sites ,e-mails, cards and visits. His laptop seems to be on a lot ,looking for those inspirational words that seems to keep his spirits high.
Billy is taking slow steps in his recovery, pain is his only companion at this point. Despite his desire to return to racing he may not be able to, due to the fact he broke his back in 3 places and fused from L2 to L6 with a bone fragment lodged 40% in his spine. His spirits are up and he misses the roar of engines and the strong desire to compete.

Billy wants to say THANK you to the raffle workers, race car driver wives and anyone else who gathered donations on the limited time of one week for his benefit. We hope we did not leave anyone out & just know we appreciate all that you have done for our son.
The Bank of America gave a wrong number out for the Billy Sellers Recovery Fund the correct number is 05715-66456 , we are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused for many of the gracious donations sent and returned by the bank .
Bill Sellers, Billy’s Dad, is taking care of business at “Seller’s Racing Wings.” Billy is managing the business from home and is taking orders while delegating as an owner should !
