Unfortunately, the Fox story does not say "but in stable condition", it just says "critical condition with head injuries".

This kid really needs prayers right now, he's a tough cookie, but any help with prayers from us are really needed right now.

I had never spoken to Shane but saw him ask Jerry Coons, Jr. if he was okay after he took a nasty one at Grandview in PA. Shane had also gottten upside down and sort of played it down that he didn't think he even bend anything in his crash. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Shane's family.

given the circumstances and the nature of the injures; any recovery, even a long recovery, is welcome news.

I'm glad he has survived this. They said last night on Wind Tunnel that they were expecting him to recover. I think he must have had some angels looking out for him on that one. Based on what I saw in the video and the damage to the roll cage I would have expected that one to be fatal. Good luck and best wishes to him on his recovery.

WOW.

I'm with Willie; I can't believe he survived that one.

Direct cage contact with the wall has ended some promising careers and lives... I won't bore with details.

That's as bad as a wreck can look, folks. Not the spinning barrel rolls or end over end... the cage contact is the "game over" wreck.

Best wishes for a full recovery.

I'm not religious at all but I woulda immediately dropped to one knee had I been there because I just don't think I could have allowed myself to believe anything but the worst outcome on that one. Those cars are so heavy and to hit like that it's just about the worst possible scenario. He may have the luck of a fox - Stan Fox that is.

No matter what Shane has done, or been though during his short life, this is one thing he will have to work very hard. Don't give up, work hard and get well soon. You can drive later in your life. Prayers and thoughts are with you and your family at this time.
