Don't go there folks. Dean is an honorable man and a great driver.

Yeah, then there's that too! (Much better direction of argument than mine)

#97 Jacobs was running 4th at the finish & I hear that the competition director for the Allstars is buddies with that team.

Oe boy, the drama continues to spirol out of control, well, if said is true? I would have to agree with the title of this post .Not that this would be DJ's fault mind you, but if Allstar officiating takes a turn to better a optamistic driver from previous dillemas, thats pretty shadey, Im in Balogs defence, If his car were to run out of fuel, drop a magneto etc, after the checkers flew would the circumstances be the same?, simply a crappy call on someone that is not a "Allstar" Ive only attended one Allstar show to this date, with the attending celebrities, the crowd was great, the talent of the Allstar drivers was certainly not a WoO show (im not going to argue the exhistance of a scaled down portion of the 410 crop) hey, I like 360's and 410's, with (in mind) the latest posts, I scroll this message board religiously I happen to be a owner and driver that would compete in this series ,(that is ,when they are in my region ), I hope the wieght of these posts doesnt hold water, I guess ill just have to see for myself what kind of organizeation the Allstars is? just too bad the judgement call can hit us as drivers/owners and be effected by truely bad judgement . unless otherwise corrected, ill keep it under my hat ..

Happens to the best of them. Mark Martin even accidentally pulled on to pit road at Bristol leading under caution on the white flag lap... http://motorsports.fanhouse.com/2010/06/23/ambrose-joins-list-of-nascars-greatest-mistakes/
They don't even know how to spell sprint car

thats right Martin had one , the Myers- Madsen souga was priceless, thats what makes it so interesting, a fluke deal with possible on track altercations causes the heartbreak , for the fans, it was over the top, thats what makes the nationals, what it is, you just never know whats going to happen next .. Now some of you are going to say "well , your for the penalty when Meyers returned to his pit?" I understand Balog was parked with the other two finishers correct ? and never returned to his pit? , Our local (regional) shows will unfortunatly do driver interviews ect "before " scaling is done, I would only understand this practice is just to move the show along for the fans ? not sure how this could be corrected in a quick manner, so the fans can have a quick applaud and interview with the top finishers, are scales and tech areas manditory 25'or so from victory lane? sorry for the open question, but I think you get my point..

I guess what I don't understand is why someone from the Allstars or the track didn't tell 17B that he needed to go to the scales while he was sitting on the track. With the invention of radios, someone had to know he was not at the scale and sitting on the track. It seems if you have a series that is low on car count you might want to try to work with guys that travel several hours to race with you so maybe they will come back again.

scale rule is in the rulebook, was said at drivers meetings, was said over the radio right after the race? Was this the first race ALLSTARS scaleed the top3? was this the first time the Allstars scaled the cars before the interview?By the time ALLSTARS found out balog didnt come to the scale balog didnt have his radio in his ears? by the time Allstars seen that balog parked on the track balogs crew had touched the car?was this the first time balog ever raced with the Allstars? Is it bad if a series actually follows there rulebook that they made before the year started?

I like the idea of scaling the cars before interveiwing so you know how the winer really is and not letting the crews touch the car til after the scales. I seen some teams have 10 crew guys come out of the pits and there all over the car while the drivers getting interviewed and then the car first goes to the scales.

No on the last question. The crew never touched the car while it was on the track.

You have seen his crew members touching the car before it scaled at an ira show....Knowing BB personally I can tell you that he is a stand up guy who definately does not have to cheat to win. Nor does his crew. Most crews at the ira shows touch their drivers cars before they go on the scales...They usually help push the car up on the scale. Pretty pathetic that everyone thinks that others are always trying to cheat. Especially an honest person like Bill Balog.

I NEVER SAID BILLY BALOG OR HIS CREW CHEATED! I JUST WAS POINTING OUT THE FACT THAT THE TEAM TOUCHES THE CAR BEFORE IT SCALES AT IRA RACES! JMO BUT DRIVER SHOULD SCALE CAR BEFORE HIS CREW TOUCHES IT! BUT IRA PROBABLY HAS A REALLY GOOD REASON THEY LET THE CREWS TOUCH THE CARS BEFORE THE SCALES!

And that reason is because there isnt enough officals to do it them self everyone pushes there car or helps push another to the scales and if u think that people would get away with being light come on sooner or later you would get cought in BB case they should have took a four wheeler over to him immediatly and pushed him to the scales. Either way he desearved that top three run wish he would of won it that teams been on there game all year wish them the best of luck at the N.C....

I know the crew for Billy only checked air pressure as usual. I will post the A-main later tonight wich includes a shot of him geting out after the race. This is not to settle anything or take sides. I am sure a lot of people will try to draw conclusions off of this. Not sure when he took off his radio either.

ira has enuogh officals on four wheelers and the Mid West Safety crew with all there four wheelers that that wouldnt need the crews coming out and touching the cars before the scale. Plus the scales are righ off the track and if they would scale them first then the drivers could driver to the scales like they do after there timing laps and heats!

Do the All Stars pay drivers that are DQ'd? Some don't and I assumed that was the case with Bill.
As far as paid everyone but me, I have never seen an All Star race and probably never will. You've got me confused with somebody else.

No I dont have you confused with anybody. About 3 years ago after a race at CedarLake Speedway we talked for like 2 hours. You take photos and write for racing news. I just thought you must have been mad that they didnt pay you for something on this night.
