I recently heard the news that the 3 car is done for the season, so I just wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate the team on a successful season. The team started from scratch, having nothing but a truck and trailer just six weeks before the first race, so their performance is a testament to the skill and dedication of all involved. Often limping along on a shoestring budget, this team completed their season with just two engines, two cars, and very limited help at the track. Coming an oh-so-close second at the King's Royal and finishing 5th at the Knoxville Nationals should make for a successful season by anyone's standards, but Kerry was a top ten contender and a threat to win night in and night out against the toughest competition in the world. Crew chief Sonny Kratzer worked incredibly long, hard hours to give Kerry a competitive racecar, Brian Morrison built two very competitive engines, and Kerry Madsen flat drove the wheels off the car! Hopefully all involved, including team owner Brian Hall can look back upon this season with pride in their accomplishments.

Not been here in many months, gave up on "racing one", as nobody is home, but back to my statement, Kerry Madsen has had some incredible runs this year. Hope he can get back on tour next year. Certainly he will be touring someplace, possibly not the WoO. To great a talent to not be racing steady.

I think this is one of the great stories of the year and they really have not got enough recognition for their efforts. 5th at Knoxville Nationals and 2nd at Kings Royal!!! That is insane!!! Hope Kerry can put something together for next season!
I'd rather be in Knoxville.

A little good luck/bad luck at those two races too. If Kahne doesnt flip, Kerry wins the kings royal and if Meyers goes to the scale on qualifying night at the nationals, Madsen doesnt make the a-main. Funny how this sport is a game of what ifs and circumstance. Was there at the nationals and he drove the wheels off it though.

I should add that Kerry had good runs at Williamsgrove too. At the National Open, I believe he finished 6th the first night and 7th the second night against a tough 58 car field. Also finished 3rd at the Grove against the All Stars. All in all just a really nice season.

I heard that the 83 Roth car is open for next season, that may be a good fit for Sonny and Kerry for an option for next year, could be interesting to see what happens for those guys.

Not Bad at all.One of those teams that just keeps on trying . Talk is the Team will run 3 car team in West Australia this year .Kerry and Brian Hall 2 Sons .Not bad for a team from a Country Town in the South West of West Australia

Great job 3 team! That was an outstanding and unheralded season. I'm not sure many people really knew what Madsen could do in the 3 car when they started up after the season had already got going. That King's Royal trophy should've been Kerry's, but that's why they call Kinser "The King". Great season guys-definitely hope to see you back next year, one of the most underrated teams in years!!!

Pretty sure they don't call Steve 'The King' because of the Kings Royal... but I think i see what you mean.

Great year for Madsen if this is indeed true especially since they started up so quickly. I love Madsen and how hard he races but it seemed like every race I was at it was predictable that he would be tearing up some equipment... he's definitely not afraid to mash the throttle.

That car was also very sharp looking.

Kerry will not be driving for Halls in WA this year, he will be in Kendricks car again. The #3 has been parked due to no one contacting Mr Hall at all during the last month. Not a good idea to piss off and ignore your car owner no matter how good of year you have had.....

The #3 was parked due to Hall not wanting to fund this team anymore. That decision was made before he went home to Australia. Hall and crew are still in good standing.....

I was not implying that Steve Kinser is called the King, because he won the 2010 Kings Royal-if you thought that was what I meant, then I'm sorry for the misunderstanding. I'm "Pretty Sure" it's because he's won more WoO championships than anybody before or after him ever has/will.

What I was trying to say was, that if you're gonna give Steve Kinser multiple chances to win an Outlaws race (whether it's the King's Royal or up in Canada with a car count of 20) he will find a way to make it happen.

Still a great year for Madsen & crew, and I agree with you about the car always looking sharp.

After Kerrys crazy run at last years nationals after his heat race snafu then watching the kings Royal on TV this year I have decided that the MADMAN is my favorite outlaw. Hell A Madsen #3 Tshirt is the only outlaw driver Tshirt I have purchased in the last several years.

Nice season Kerry...you sure make winged cars more fun to watch.

Loose is when you hit the wall with the rear of the
car, tight is when you hit the wall with the front of
the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and
torque is how far you move the wall.
