Hello all... I'm hoping someone can help me track down an address to send a donation to Travis Rutz. From navigating the Caring Bridge and Facebook page, it looks like the preferred method is PayPal - however that isn't an option in this particular case. I've also seen probably 4 or 5 other addresses/funds listed on various websites - not sure if they are all still valid or not. Does anyone know the best address to use for sending a donation to him (from the U.S.) via snail mail?
Thanks!

Why not send a message to the Caring Bridge site asking them for a mailing address in order to mail them a donation? The journal on Caring Bridge allows you to post comments and questions....and I'm sure that Travis and his family would appreciate your donation.....

I had talked with the folks associated with the Facebook page, but they weren't able to provide a current address other PayPal.
I wasn't familiar with that Caring Bridge site and somehow overlooked the guestbook option the first time around.... just posted an entry in it though - hopefully that does the trick. Thanks for the heads up.

Since Paypal "is not an option" (????)... how about finding someone you trust that has a PayPal account, giving them cash and having THEM send the money?
Lots of folks use Ebay; I'll bet someone you know does & has an account.

I'm asking on behalf of a not-for-profit organization. I would think PayPal has some kind of option for a charity account, but I don't the specifics on it and I'm basically the messenger on this particular request. The only thing I was told is that they do not have the ability to use PayPal or credit card - it has to be by check.

You might try nwracechat.com....they have a skagit forum. Someone on there might be able to help.

From what I gather Travis is working very hard. He is in a place in Alberta that specializes in head injuries/rehabilitation. Please send a donation. Mickala is very trusted and will appreciate the donation. I have two Rutz shirts I wear regularly to races and around. Thanks for your donation, or at least asking about donating. I'am sure everything helps. I have never met any of the Rutzs' and support their cause whenever I can.

I can tell everyone here from first hand experience that Mikala is a real sweetheart who cares about people A LOT. When we did a helmet pass at Willamette Speedway the week after Rutz's accident I personally delivered the collected donations to Mikala at her bank in person. She's also been selling Rutz support gear at tracks in Washington all year with every single buck going to the Rutz Family. Keep up the good work Mikala!
