It seems the locals are taking turns eliminating the competition. Last time the WoO were there, I believe the 21 took him out on the back-stretch. This time, Hodnett takes him (and about 6 others) out on the front-stretch. Lets see, if ya cant beat him, then take him out. I wonder who drew the short-stick tonight and who got the nod to take the 15 out this time!

Wasn't it the #21 of Montieth that took out Schatz on the backstretch this spring? Maybe it was Leppo, but yeah, it does seem like he's got a bounty on his head the last few times the Outlaws have been at Williams Grove.

I am pretty positive Shatz took himself out earlier in the year when he cut up across Montieth...Would be nice for donut boy to admit he made a mistake...

So it was Montieth. Okay, and you're completely wrong-if that was Schatz's fault than you were watching a different race.

I agree it was more Schatzs fault if you are going to point the finger. However I look at it as more of "just racing" those things are going to happen.

Yes, I stand corrected. I apologize for that. I was watching it live on Dirtvision when it originally happend, and could've sworn (which I did) that Schatz held the line and Montieth cut over and got into him. Now I know that was NOT the case. Once again, my misunderstanding-and thanks for posting the video to clear this up for me. Although I have to say that I wasn't very impressed with the low life idiot that threw the beer can at Schatz after the wreck. Take it easy man.

You're absolutely right, I watched it again, and I was wrong.

Hodnett is not a dirty driver anyway, so I think it was just a racing incident on Friday too.

any racing (wrecks) at those speeds, in these cars, is definetly not pre meditated , unless your more man than me, and like eating from a straw , then you got my back against the wall and I guess ill shut my trap , ask Doty,Wolfgang,Shepard, to name a few, how comical it would be ... JMO and take care.

It seems to me that Schatz always tries to sit the right rear at the entry of the corner, regardless if anyone is outside him or not, and it turns out niether Montieth or Hodnett is going to brake for him. Part of the reason they are 1-2 in Grove points, maybe?

Yeah I realize that happens a lot, but really? A driver is in a bad wreck like that and you're going to throw a beer can at him? What goes on in some peoples mind is far beyond me.

on the initial start - Schatz had the run and moved up the track to take the front clip off of Hodnett coming out of turn 4 - but Hodnett burped the throttle and gave Schatz the position as he moved laterally across the track from the bottom to the outside rail...that start was negated because of outlaw rules that CATER to some squirrel jumping way back in the pack (Dollansky?) and it was called back.

the second attempt - Hodnett got the jump and for some reason Schatz forgot that a left rear is more robust than his right front and just couldnt' manage to burp the throttle - he stayed in it and took a spin in front of the field down the front stretch.

amazing how this guy's deperation moves are now taking him out of action BEFORE HE CROSSES THE STARTING LINE!

TSR might not require a piss test for his dirt track teams...but maybe an eye test would save some money on bolt on parts?

I usually don't bother with such inane threads, but for anyone to think that a driver of an open wheel car racing at those speeds, deliberately tries to take another car out intentionally needs to have their head examined.

Dirt devil had it right; You can end up in a bad way real fast in one of these cars when things go wrong on their own, without aiding the cause.

I could not imagine Montieth or Schatz thinking that a move into each other was a particularly smart thing to do, particularly at a point on the track where the terminal velocity was highest.

That was a bad scene, could have easily been fatal, as Schatz alluded to in an interview, he thought he was a goner.

I love the craziness of these cars, but I sure hate the crashes they endure at times.

So what you're saying is that if anyone in the sixth row jumps the start and passes one or two of your favorites that it's OK? After all, it is back in the pack........

wrong - what i am saying is stop screwing with the rest of the field and give the cheater a 4 car penalty on the first yellow...or at the end of the race. it wont take long to learn the rules if they are denied a second chance and it hits their wallet.

you people act as thought these drivers are too stupid to figure out what the two pedals are for...and you just might have a point.

Now BRR, WHY would they "need" to take a piss test??

It was blatantly obvious that Donny was gonna win and Hodnett had to take him out... dont know what you were watching,,LMFAO

I actually agree with you here. The Outlaws are way too quick to throw a yellow for jumping the start, and tend to ignore blatant attempts to jump at other times. I thought the 15 was clearly early in his heat race on Saturday, otherwise there is no way he makes it to 2nd in 3/4s of a lap. But no call.
