Posted this on the SCRAFAN board to stir some interest in SoCal. I would love to see these guys down here as I think they put on the best show in the west.
Big split in the norcal 410 series. Dan Simpson tried to buy the GSC, Golden State Challenge from Hardy Racing Promotions. Looks as if the deal is off. Simpson is going ahead with his "King Of The West"series, and has opened an office in Rio Vista. According to posts on the NarCal board as many as 21 drivers will most likely go with the King of The West series. These include most of the big dogs, Brent, Bud and TK, Tim Kaeding, Tommy Tarlton. Kyle Larson, Suggs, Allard et al. It seems Simpson's plan is to make the KOW series a traveling show, going to several western states and Canada. Maybe I used Rob's crack pipe too much but I would love to see Perris book these guys. Now that Perris does'nt run the Outlaws this would be a great chance for people down here to see a 410 wing show without freight trains and follow the leader shows. The GSC shows I have seen have been the best shows I have seen this year. I know this post will send TrpCrn and Don Read into apoplexy and this board will light up with their beefs,
