Thursday: Practice/Hot Laps
Friday: Complete race program. Draw for heat starting
position. Heat winners to “A”, 2nd to “B”, 3rd to “C”. Winners will draw
for starting position in “A”. Five cars move from “C” to “B”, and five
cars move from “B” to “A”. Top five in Friday “A” qualify for Sunday’s
“A”, inside five rows. Next five cars qualify for inside five rows in
Sunday’s “B” main.
Saturday: Same as Friday. Top five in “A” qualify for
Sunday’s “A”, outside first five rows, next five qualify for Sunday “B”,
outside first five rows.
Sunday: 10 cars are qualified for “A” and 10 cars are
qualified for “B”. All other cars draw for start in last chance race. 10
cars move from last chance to "B” and 10 cars move from “B” to “A”. The
top 20 non-qualifiers will race in non-qualifiers race.
OSP STOCK CAR NATIONALS RULES
BODY:1970 to current year model. Aftermarket bodies that are
stock appearing are ok. Rear spoilers may be 5” x 60”. Sideboards 5”
taper to 1” point. Height 12” from base.
WEIGHT: 3200 pounds with driver after race, 3250 pounds if running a Bert, Brenn or Falcon.
STEERING: Must be stock steering box in stock location. No rack and pinion.
FUEL: Gasoline or Methanol
ENGINE: Ford to Ford, Gm to Gm. Mopar to Mopar except Mopar
can be ran in any chassis. Cast iron heads, cast iron blocks only. Any
intake. One four barrel carb. Manual fuel pump only. Engine may sit no
further than 1/2 in. back of the #1 spark plug hole lined up with the
center of ball joint on GM. Other brands the same #1 sparkplug hole as
GM will be used.
SUSPENSION: Must be stock suspension. Rear suspension must
be attached in stock location. Leaf springs must be attached in stock
front mounting holes. No floating of axle housing. Housings must be
mounted solid to leaf springs. Weight jacks OK. Leaf springs can only be
adjusted at the rear of the spring. Coil springs must remain in stock
location over axle. Upper A frames may be either OEM or non adjustable
aftermarket. One shock per wheel. 108 inch minimum wheelbase.
TIRES: McCreary, Goodyear, or Hoosier asphalt pull offs
27.0xl0.0x15 will be legal. Must be used scuffs. 10 inch maximum wheel
width. Must durometer 60 or better after race.
TRACTION CONTROL: NOT LEGAL!
FRAMES: Frame must be out of same manufacturer as body and
engine except for Mopar. No cutting to offset or narrow frames Must
remain stock and same type from front bumper to center line of rear
axle. Frame from rear axle center line to rear may be fabricated 2”x 3”
.090 minimum thickness tubing. Must be an extension of the original
frame. Camaros may have their frames tied together, but must be without
alteration from
original design. No fabricated frames of any type!
TRANSMISSION: OEM with a clutch. Couplers allowed for
automatics. Must have explosion proof bellhousing. Berts, Brenns, and
Falcons allowed with 50 extra pounds in front of fire wall (car must
weigh 3250 pounds).
ENGINE CLAIM: $1000.00 claim with swap of running engine.
First four finishers are subject to claim by 5th place back, but must be
on the lead lap to claim. Same engine used to qualify must be used in
Sunday feature race. Track has option to buy any engine. No sale means
disqualification!
MIRRORS AND RADIOS: No No radios except for receivers. Receivers will be used for driver lineup.
ROLLCAGE: Minimum .095 wall tubing construction built to racing standards. Junk unsafe cages will not be allowed to race.
SAFETY: All drivers must have full firesuit, helmet, gloves,
window net or arm restraints. All equipment must meet safety standards.
Seat belts must have dates and may not be over 2 years old.
