I figure if Becker is credited with last place he wins title. Do you have to take the
green flag?

Taken from the Andy Forsberg website!
Quick Updates: Sunday 9/26/10 3:35am (Auburn, CA)
Andy Forsberg pulls off the 2010 Civil War Series Championship as the series ends with major drama. Point leader Sean Becker was unable to make the call for the main event due to a motor issue. After three attempts to get the 2sb started with no success the officials started the race without Becker.
The race started with Andy in the second row. Front row starter Tim Kaeding took the lead with Steven Tiner in second and Andy moved into third. It wasn't long before Andy made the pass for second. With less than ten laps to go more drama hit the fan. Andy was involved in an altercation going down the back stretch. Andy ended up stopped in turn 3 against an infield tire. The car was towed to the work area and the crew assessed the damages. The car was run able as it sat and the decision was made to send Andy back out. As we were about to send him back out the red flag was thrown for a fuel stop. The 47 team made the decision to change out the front axel at that time. Andy was told by the track officials that all he needed to do to win the championship was to finish the race. Andy went out and ran around the bottom for the last seven laps and didn't push the issue as he came home in 13th. At the end of the race Andy was congratulated by track promoter Alan Handy for the Championship.
A short time later it was announced that Sean may have won but the Handy staff was looking into the situation. After a short time and as we were driving home Andy receive a text message from track promoter Alan Handy that he is in fact the 2010 Civil War champion.
Next week is the Fall Nationals in Chico, CA

I think Herman Klein should be the champion. He didnt make a scene in victory lane with Mike Henry, should be lost of points. He started the race, Sean didnt. So the real champion is Herman Klein! Congratulations to who ever is the champion

I found it odd that with seven laps to go and andy needing to swap a front axle for the "YELLOW" flag they threw an open red for fuel and when they were done with the swap is when they started pushing cars? sorry but there wasnt that many laps run

I was hyped up enough about TK already but after Placerville and Ocean speedway this weekend the Cotton and Trophy Cup can't come soon enough.

Looking in the pits after racing last night you would have thought Andy Forsberg had been bitten by bad luck not Sean Becker. The incident with Henry was at worst 50/50 so lighten up you won the championship! Well done Andy and all the 47 team, unlucky Sean and the 2sb team and thank you everyone that competed through the year for a great championship. Same again next year please.
