I think the original post got sent before I had the hyperlink entered correctly. Fat fingers. This is great news. The Clay County Fair is awesome. It is larger than many state fairs. The races at the fair were always well attended. They have had great racing at the Clay County Fair for decades. Anyone remember Emory Collins (I think that was his name). He was a lengend in racing way back when.....I think he was from Plymouth County, Iowa. Oh, my. That goes WAY back.

Maxine, There is going to be a VERY LARGE difference from the days of old, The track is going to be redone to a 3/8 with banking and lights. The old track was 1/2 mile and raced all day lights shows due to lack of lighting. CDR Promoting (aka Craig Dollansky Racing) is going to have a hand full of work to over see between now and then. BUT the good news for the Spencer area is that if the WoO deal works out Craig has stated that he will try for 5-6 shows throughtout the year ranging from WoO Sprints to latemodels and other classes. With all of the traveling series going on now there are alot of options for Spencer to bring people into the area. Now they'll have to build a bigger Event Center to match the track

Is CDR looking for tracks to promote or wanting to get into the business of it? Would there be any way to contact them?
Thanks!

I'd love to see them schedule an/some ASCS National races there. That would be awesome.

From info I was told was that he only became interested in the Spencer track because all thoughts early in the season was that Jackson was NOT going to race. And I also know that his wife Julie is from Spencer and still has family there so that maybe another reason. I do know that he has worked close with SLS Promotions in the past so he does have an idea what it takes to promote a track and run things. Or maybe his busy schedule with racing isn't keeping him busy enough so he decided to take on an easier challange??

Well if he or anyone close to him is out there and wanting to promote or do off night deals when the outlaws are in the area or something of that nature, please contact me via email. If not, just ignore me...haha.

"I do know that he (Dollansky) has worked close with SLS Promotions in the past..."
Well, been teamed with Boyd since the autumn of 1999 and still going strong.
Who didn't know that?

Anyone headed to Spencer, should read about Hannigans new sponsor.... Pocket Shots...
No smoking, no alcohol in the grandstands at CCF.
Outlaws at the CCF..... way too cool. Get your tickets early.
