An earlier post about the WG National Open being shown tape delayed on Speed on Oct 23rd prompted me to let you know that at long last the cable network (Foxtel) in Australia has decided to add the Speed Channel to its sports line - up effective November 1st this year.

Too late to see the WG National Open, but we will be able to catch all the action from Lowes on November 4th, 5th & 6th from the comfort of our loungerooms downunder.

Of interest to US fans is that Foxtel intend to migrate all their current auto racing from the existing sports channels to Speed, plus integrate local programming into the channel. This will include the 2010-2011 World Series Sprintcar rounds, which commence downunder in a couple of months with the best fields ready to go for some years.

Just maybe Speed in the USA might pick them up for you guys to watch locally while the snow falls outside your lounge room window.

Let's hope so anyway.

.... after all they do show the V8 Supercars from Oz so why wouldn't they also pick up the premier form of racing!!

Hey Pete ! Thanks for the heads-up.Glad to know that OZ is catching up with the rest of the world.

We will be looking forward to anything from down under.

We are only a little over a month away from the Short Track Nationals and seeing some of racing's most dedicated fans.Kansas City is finishing up a rainy season that has claimed way too many events for the "rain man".
