I think it's just been a long 2010 season - and if you are an okc area race fan - this is BY FAR the worst season you have ever seen. Lets just hope it will always be the worst....
The reality does suck. Some aspects of this season offer hope. Just one of them things I guess - it wont sting any less that its gone until there is something to replace it. And while we will likely never see a SFS-like facility again - lets just hope we get a quality show like we did at the Fairgrounds.
A couple bright spots. Lawton ended the year extremely strong. I personally can't stand the way the racing is down there - but full fields, great concessions, good folks can go a long way in reconciling that. And ya never know when Lanny do a little bit of dirt work. Funny statement from earlier tonight - we were talkin about how Lawton modified drivers would have hated the I-44 track conditions tonight (VERY tacky - yet smooth) - to which I commented "yeah you always know when the fans are happy at Lawton - because the modified drivers are all pissed off". Not to speak for everyone - but the dry slick, one lane racing I saw down there most times I went - didn't do it for me ( or for most others I saw either).
But the one time RUTS were added to the fold - LOVED IT!! I hated it for Jorski tho  - but on the flip side - I hadn't seen elbows up like that at Lawton since......well........they first messed with the track. Joe Wood Jr. was a beast that night! One of the highlights of my year for sure... Anyways - dirt work or no - Lawton seems to be a quality show.
Much more closer - Meeker. Some promising hints coming out of there. Little nuggets of "what could be" for 2010. I suspect a sanctioned sprint car appearance. And hey - instead of us just spewing our loads on here when it happens - David should just shut this sucker down and we'll party through the night like ........people like that do lol.
.. true rucous. anything goes. landmark occasion - ocrs/ascs - great quality sprint car racing back in the 405!!! I am pretty near my dream state, but hope that dream comes true tho lol. OUT.
