only been to a few this year. best one i've seen was at Dodge way back in April. good track as usual and strong field of cars. the first Oshkosh show was terrible because of the "as-usual" terrible track prep. the field of cars was fairly strong however. it didn't matter though because they were running 70 mph laps on a track which used to be one of the fastest 1/3 miles in the country(i'm sure the Gumout Series had something to do with that). very disappointing. the Plymouth A-main was good even though the strength of field was pretty weak. also poor support classes. don't have any idea why the UMP Late-Models weren't there as they used to be. that used to be the main selling point in going to Plymouth.
Well, This weekend i just don't see any reason in going. first off, the WoO's are in the Midwest. i'm sure Tatnell and Logan will be going there instead of Oshkosh. I'm sure Whitney hung it up already for the season. plus, he doesn't run good anymore anyway. seems like he kind of just lost it and doesn't really care. he just runs the bottom and drives real conservative. 10 years ago he ran the cushion and won every 1/3 time out.
Forget Plymouth as well. again no Late-Models. they are touting an "All sprint show". a bunch of Wilmot cars for 410's with Balog and Hepfner and Goedon(if he only had a decent ride)along with MSA 360's(yawn) and mini-sprints. Not real appealing.
Back to Geodon. Why doesn't somebody put him in their car? he's a winning machine. don't these car owners want to win? if he had a decent ride, him and Balog would be battling it out for the title. and if i was a betting man, i'd take Goedon.
anyway enjoy the races if you can't find anything better to do.

Any reason to go??? Are you serious? If it's sprint cars on dirt ... I would be there. Better yet, it's 410 wing sprint cars.

first and most important! goeden dont even belong in a race car, even a sprint car! hes a dirty driver, cant pass a car with out hitting it and put the other car out of control! no good teams want him cause hes hard on the cars and they dont want there driver being the next driver to kill someone on and off the track. This year i seen him come off the track find where another team was pitted and spun gravel at them and anyone else around! hes also the biggest cry baby to ever strap into a race car! he makes Kyle Bush look good! I can tell you dont watch goeden you just see after he takes out everyone in front of him he finishes toward the front!

If you not impressed with the line up of the up coming events dont go its that simple. Im sure no one will miss but if you dont go I'll be waiting for more of your tantalising info on how the races were those nights since you have top notch info and knowledge and how things should be.

Plymouth is always one of the best races of the year. The Frank Filkov race is always good.Lots of action. With a all sprints show it will be very good. No fender cars makes for a good show. Looking forward to it. We do not need the idiot Debbie (SW) Downer to go or post about it. So go and dress warm and enjoy a good race.

after reading a few of Passmoreracer's posts, i've concluded that she is a dipshit. I've can't ever remember Donny doing anything dirty.

Wow! It's not even the weekend and the trolls are out already complaining about the races! Can't make it to Oshkosh, but looking forward to Plymouth. It's great to have travelling cars show up at our local shows, but just because it doesn't look like there will be anything BUT local cars is no reason not to go. I've been to plenty of IRA shows where just the locals put on a great show. If you want to see the travellers, go to IA and MN this weekend...seems simple enough.
Why would you complain about not seeing late models now? If that's all you want to see, you could've gone every Saturday night and watched for 10 bucks. They sure put on a great show last week. The feature was time-limited at 25 mins with 2 laps completed...YAAWWWNN!!!
Spend your weekend at home trolling the message boards if you want, the real race fans will be at the track!
"They'll learn."

well yes i was in the pits when he took 2 hit two cars to get them out of his way in a heat race at 141 and still didnt transfer so he was mad and came in the pits and spun gravel at the 75,95 pit area! yes i know him very well i watched him since he started racing plymouth with the winged mods and still watch him when he can find an owner that he will run out of money! how many owners did he run out of money? too many for me to count! if he was so good he would make the owner money and then they could race ira or WOO! Instead of make the team drop from full schedules to hit and miss and with goeden its alot of hitting!

I don't like operas and I figured out a simple solution to avoid frustration. I don't go to them. To take it a step further, I don't hang around on opera message boards complaining about them.
Seriously though, if you're more into Late Models save your money and go to the Knoxville Late Model Nationals. I've heard good things about that show.
None of these racing groups are perfect right up to and including NASCAR. If it's not your deal you should probably just cut your losses and find another interest. I don't see any reason to continually b*tch about it unless you like being miserable. If that is the case don't expect the rest of us to share in your misery.

Look its another post where "stupidwings" is whining about something. Here's an idea just save us the trouble and dont go! Maybe you should move to a different part of the country since the racing around here isn't up to your standards, then you could complain about that too.

If any of you were at Plymouth last year for this race you know it was a great show.Even with no travelers, it was a great show.Last lap pass for lead, victory donuts, and fence climb.Like all dirt track shows never know how its going to be but thats why I go.For all you IRA downers, last year the show was done by 9:30 and no fender support classes!Hope it doesn't rain.

Right on. This show is exciting. How about Scott Uttech passing hometown hero Goedon on the last lap a few years ago. Kristan's wild crashes on the front chute like 2 years in a row. Kristan spinning out with a few laps left while leading. You have to stay till the checkered flag falls there.

Here is last year's A-Main. This year will be just as good. It wont bother me none if one "fan" does not show up. Kinda "strange" eh?
Stan's post sums it up.
See you at Plymouth!

Rieso i think you hit the nail on the head. Since he(biertzer) complains more than anyone there. when he gives you a right rear to move you then hits you and bends that right rear its your fault right? Its going to be a good weekend no matter what.
