As the racing season rapidly winds down here in the Midwest, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the drivers, their pit crews, the sanctioning body officials, all the track employees (from the track officials, track surface preparers, flagmen, push truck drivers, and paramedics all the way to the concession stand workers), the sponsors, and all their families for another great, although sometimes unfortunately tragic, racing season.
I know it takes a lot of time, hard work, money, and sacrifice on all your parts to put on these shows so fans like myself can be entertained.
I hope that all of you who want to return to racing next year are able to do so, and if I missed mentioning anyone (which I'm sure I did), I apologize and thanks to you as well. You know who you are.
