I was critical of you the other day regarding Kyle Larson and I was wrong and I apologize for that. I understand now that you are just doing your job and I can not fault you for doing that. I didn't trully understand it t the time but now I have a better idea of what you do.

I don't however apologize for my view of the Golden State Challenge Series, it's a watered down series and I understand changes are coming, but this year was by far the worst weekly competetition the GSC had.

What I don't understand is why so many people are putting Kyle Larson on such a high pedestal already. Is the kid good, without a doubt one of the best young drivers in California along with Shane Golobic, Keith Bloom & Zach Zimmerly even though he is from (WA) but for some to suggest that if Larson raced with the WOO he would finish in top 7-10 next year in points is ridiculous.

Lets look for a moment at other Cali drivers that have left Cali, Tyler Walker last years GSC Champ, what has he done since moving back to Penn, nothing close to what he did here last year, why is that because the competeition back in Penn is some of the best in this country. Don't believe me, how many races has it been since an outlaw won a main event in Penn vs the Posse something around 9 straight. TK, well he's been on the road-home-on the road-home this year and it has been up and down this year. When TK has been back in Cali this year just look at his record very impressive, I think he has 1 win outside of Cali and that was with the All Stars. Paul McMahan, this guy has done lots of racing and only by an injury this year did he get into the 91 car and he is 5-6th in points. Jason Myers is having a great year, but when he first started traveling with the outlaws it wasn't always easy or picture perfect, it took him a couple of years before he started winning regularly with them.

I think some on here are not dealing with reality when it comes to Cali racing, it's good but nowhere near the best in this country, Penn, Ohio and even Iowa I would say have better overall racing then Cali does. Larson is very talented, but I think some want to push him out there too soon, before he maybe ready, racing and winning in Cali is not the same as winning in the midwest or the east, competeition is much better out there.

only one way to find out...I am personally a fan, i think he could hold his own wherever he goes. Not sying he'll go outt here and right off the bat win every night, but i think he could go run with like, ASCS National series and run decent, get good finishes..

Threads like this one really make me wonder about some people who post here. Big Winner obviously doesn't know anything about Kyle Larson. There is a reason people are talking about him, its because he is damn good. He has talent by the boatload and doesn't tear up equipment. He has patience that veteran drivers would kill for. He waits like a predator for his moment to pull off a pass cleanly. He doesn't need Big Winners stamp of approval he will accomplish great things in his racing career. I find it funny when people say they racers are better in other regions than they are in California. I would say the only correct statement is that the "top" teams from Cali, Ohio, Midwest and Penn are all capable of winning against top competition. Any other notion is false. Larson was up to 3rd on saturday at the Gold Cup until the late yellow. He had passed Shatz, Haud, Sides just to name a few. Sounds like he just doesn't have the chops to hack it anywhere yet. Too soft of competition in California my ass. Why can't people enjoy the sport of sprint car racing and their regions racers without talking so much shit about everyone else. When you talk crap you lose ALL credibility in my firm opinion. I am not afraid to put my name out there how about you Big Winner? You can find me saturdays at the races if you want to hash out the subject further.

The apology seemed sincere, but I doubt you will get a thank you card in the mail from Mr. Thomas. Instead of blasting away, as you did in your original post, you should take the time to find out more about the individual(s) you are attacking. Its called "homework." Nice post Matt.

I am not looking for any thank you card. I said what I said at the time and I apologized for it. But I am allowed to have my own OPINION about certain drivers if I want, there my opinions and no body elses. And Matt I could care less if I have credibility in your eyes or not, I don't post on here wondering if Matt thinks it's ok. Too many people on here get completely bent out of shape when someone does not share the same views as they do, it's a message board get over it. I shared my views about the GSC series this year and Kyle Larson, Outside of BK and Suggs what other regulars where there to challenge Larson week in and week out for the title?

This thread just serves as an example as to why HH needs a separate "press release" message board. I enjoy rading most of the releases, but placing them on a separate board will insure that everyone knows when a "paid" PR guy puts something together for a series, track, or driver. It will eliminate any confusion about the source/subject matter...and hopefully, minimize the attacks and negative comments to the original post/poster!

My opinion Any driver/team that is out there competing to give the fans a show whether you are a top notch driver or an average driver, we need to thank them for spending their hard earn $$$ to entertain us on the weekends.

Big Winner, if you look at all the other track series, the car count was down, good example Silver Dollar Speedway. Did they have the field of cars this year like they have had in the past? Other tracks also the last few years didn't have a stellar field, Petaluma, Antioch, Chowchilla, Tulare, etc? We haven't heard you complaining about those champions. Sound like you must run Ocean since they have the stellar drivers. Yes Ocean is probably the best series going this year along with Placerville. Who's leading and who's in second at Ocean? Being in 2nd in the Taco Bravo series behind 2009 Ocean Speedway Champion Tarlton is pretty darn good if you ask me with 3 more races anything can happen. How many times has Larson won there this year at Ocean? How many times have you won? Where are you in the point standings top 15? Top 10? Watching the Gold Cup videos shows he can do running with a stellar field of drivers. Where did your driver finish? Big Winner sounds a bit jealous. It's ok… when you are running up front there will always be someone that wants to bring you down.

You said in your post, "I think some want to push him out there too soon, before he maybe ready, etc." No one is pushing him, if anything is pushing him it will be what he does on the track.

Big Winner here's a quote for you from Ayrton Senna….
"You're not a racing driver, you're a f***ing idiot!"
- Ayrton Senna yelling at Jordan, Eddie Irvine after the 1993 Japanese Grad Prix
