Besides a piece of crap....
First the monorail, take it out.
The aircraft and a couple of buildings, bye bye.
Our speedway and the grandstands, 'nuff said.
And now they are talking that the space needle is not workable and its history is pending.
Shame on you and to hell with you powers to be State Fairgrounds leaders.

Yes I will be taking my 4yr old to see Disney on Ice. Is it her fault our city leaders are typical politicians and can't be trusted for anything they say?NO. Should she miss something because all of you guys felt you were done wrong?NO. The track was gone after next year anyway. Yes it sucks. I grew up there. I raced there. I miss it. But anymore if I wake up in the morning, still have a job, and my freedom to do whatever I want because of all of our military, I feel blessed. Race track or not.

Give David Jones an Atta Boy, he has my vote for Father of the Year. Eat a Corn Dog for me and a Cinnamon Roll as well and a Indian Taco and some Cotton Candy and a Caramel Apple and drink some Ice Tea and some A & W Root Beer and a Cold Beer for me as well.

Unfortunately, the state fair has turned into a gathering that I will skip given the rough nature of the clientele (present company excluded, of course). Too many news reports of violent behavior. Otherwise, David, to answer your question, the fairgrounds are being converted into a playground for the upperscale in the state/community with an interest in the horse industry. The thing I still ponder is why was the race track, a place that many in the state/community enjoyed and patronized, destroyed with no plan for an alternate site? Even in Oklahoma, we don't treat everyone the same. And when that goes away in Oklahoma, it's pretty much gone from everywhere.

If anyone has a concession trailer I have a suggestion. We set up in Forest Lumber parking lot and sell hamburgers, only we will call them horse burgers.
The menu could consist of a double quarter horse with cheese. Apaloosa fries. Arabian with bacon. The kiddie menu could have a shetland burger. Just some ideas to protest what the faigrounds has become....a horse beastiality festival. Bunch of horse lovin %^**@#!!!!.
And so everyone knows I'm not heartless, I do happen to have 9 horses at home. So don't go thinking I am some sort of savage. Just funny thoughts.

I hear you David, we have taken our Daughter to Disney on Ice every year for the last 5 years. We will miss this year cause she actually didnt want to go. But next year if she wants to go we will take her, Even Though i hate everything that goes along with stepping foot back on that place, I will not punish my Daughter cause of a bunch of jacka$$es. On a side note the other day i took her by the Fairgrounds and she noticed that the Race Track was gone, and she told me i cant believe they took our track,, They owe us another one.. Gotta love kids and there Honesty.

As far as I'm concerned Mick Cornett can take his channel 5 reject ass and sit it on the space needle and enjoy the ride and wave at ppl all week long as they enjoy the fair . We can all throw things at him kinda like a carnival game . The equine industry has no use or benifits from the space needle so it just like the speedway does nothing but make the place look bad . Next will be the monorail that is on a single piece of track over by the made in Oklahoma building even though it's a part of our history it may fall and mess with a horse or trailer . Any other old buildings will surely follow , I hope all the payoffs are makin him sleep better at night .
winners dont cry when they lose , they go back to the
drawing board and come back for round 2 !

Yah I'm sure it is , it's an eyesore to the horses . That would be a great place to build a barn to store a lot of feed and hay . The city sure does own a lot of eyesores maybe they should make an effort to dispose of some of the buildings that are condemned and vacant now that they have gotten the profitable ones out of the way.
