As stated by some of the regulars that were at Dodge last saturday the Wilmot promoters expect the drivers to provide there own pushtrucks with 2 people per truck. They are also required to purchase alcohol from the track every week, buy licenses for 4-wheelers, pay membership dues & give up 3/4 of the money that hoosier is providing for the point fund. They have extremely high pit pass prices, I know they are the highest sprint car race pit pass I have ever attended other than the outlaws & they have the lowest payout for a 410 sprint show. The majority of the drivers I spoke to said they were going to run the local IRA shows only & no Wilmot regular shows.

I also heard $100 per sponsor if you wanted them read over the PA system. These promoters have killed sprintcar racing at Wilmot.

What a shame that a track that not many years ago had the highest weekly 410 sprint car count in the nation is what it has turned into today. Hopefully there will be a good group of 410's but I'm kind of skeptical.

Not trying to be a smart ass here nick88, but are you related to the promoters family? I live 15 min. from the track, only time I go there is IRA shows, which is a REAL shame. Wilmot is the WORST promoted track in America I have ever been to, and I been around a long time.

With the way the current promotors ran the other group of 410 racers out of there I was not suprised that they are doing it again. Well at least the IRA is coming there again for a bunch of races. We need to get rid of these promotors and bring back the fun out there and stability with the racers. The Mooner is OK. Good guy to watch a race with. I hope that Wilmot gets a new life with promotors that want to see it prosper.

The fairboard should have stepped in several years ago with Joe Roe when they had the chance, its getting a little late now.I don't know if they are actually stepping in doubt it though, they stated in the past they don't care what races there as long as the rent is paid.

Why would the fairboard get involved now? When Marie Winker had it thet did not help her although I know ALL the racers were happy racing for her. These clowns have been running it in the ground. The fair board has the most expensive rent of any track in the country. If they wanted to help they would have before the last group of quality 410 cars left. I want to see the track prosper but with the current promoter it does not look like it will happen. I will be there for all the IRA races there and all the close ones in Wisconsin.

Yeah there might be weekly 410s but a 10 car field if that?... I really don't think fans will fork out the 15 clams at the front gate for a regular weekly stock car show...Plus if the mods run like they usually do with 1 hour features with yellows out the kazoooo and getting 8 or 10 laps in... Yeah not going fly... It will be like Talladaga with beer cans flying!...

Unlike napcar where they kick people out for that kind of stough, the Wilmot clowns block the gates so nobody can leave until the night is completed.

You are correct biggy. Go to www.wossprints.com if anyone wants to see what the regulars from Wilmot are doing this year.

It seems a lot of people have imput but not much info. YES WILMOT IS THE LOWET PAYING 410 SPRINTCAR TRACK IN THE COUNTRY, 750.00 TO WIN THE FEATURE, PRETTY SAD. Well if you want to race locally around here in no. il or so. wis. this is what you get. The promoters made a tire deal with hoosier and we ( wisc outlaw sprints ) didn't have much of a problem with that other than the promoter was keeping all the money from hoosier. They have backed off on push trucks, offered to announce some sponsors each night. There is still a disagreement about the hoosier money. There was a vote last week by the membership of wos , and it was voted unamimus not to run at wilmot for the 2007 season.
